Think I have seen them all apart from the viscount in BAF livery and the courtline one eleven. Courtline went bust just before I started spotting. Shame as I have seen photos of a green one eleven and I think a yellow tristar at Birmingham . NLM f27s had a slightly later cityhopper livery when they started the Birmingham service but that was the best I could do.

I did consider a diorama when I first started collecting but to make it realistic would have needed to have been based on the old airfield layout complete with terminal building and a section of 06/24 to line up the diversions on. I decided not to as I can still remember my collection of 300 plastic kits on two rows of shelves on two walls of my bedroom gathering dust so decided they should be kept in a display case.

Anyone remember these ?
I used to see one regularly flying out of Birmingham. No mistaking the noise .
Can't believe that they were used by the military in some countries, I reckon you would have had time to build an air raid shelter before it got to you :ROFLMAO:

Yes, I really like the Cessna 337. There is often one parked amongst the visiting aircraft at the Duxford Flying Legends display. It's on the German register and in Sennheiser (the headphone makers) colours.
I even have a Cessna 337 on my flightsimulator.

Must be getting quite rare now.
Got a feeling that you could fly them on single engine licence.
Are you a Duxford regular ?

Good to see conformation of yet another Michelin-starred chef coming to Birmingham :)

A Michelin-starred chef has agreed a lease on a unit in Birmingham, which will become home to his first UK venue outside of London.

Tom Aikens starred in the Great British Menu in 2011 and 2013. He has signed a lease on a 3,619 sq ft unit in the Urban Room, on level two of the Mailbox development.

Are you a Duxford regular ?

I have been (just 20 minutes drive away), but very disheartened by their recent decisions (pre-booking only for airshows, closure of the 'tank bank', during airshow and preview days and charging for parking). As such, I have not renewed my 'Friends of Duxford' membership.
As a keen photographer, I took many photos at the Duxford airshows.
Some can be found here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/142394785@N08/albums/72157672644480835 (I'm still in the process of uploading photos).

Regards

That's good to hear, it is true that there is nowhere near enough to entice families into Central Birmingham.

We always go on about what a fantastic food, culture and nightlife scene we have so it's nice to see a bit more in the planning for the little ones :)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
