Not at the prices they are charging! Had a quick look and they are blooming expensive!

I’m hoping this is the correct place to post. I’m flying to Barcelona on Friday with a transfer to Asturias.

My question is, has anyone used T1 at Barcelona and then travelled to T2 for an internal flight. There seems mixed messages how long this takes. It seems as we’re not in Schengen we’ll have to go through passport control and then take the bus and go through security and passport at T2.

If anyone can provide an insight it would be appreciated.

We're looking at doing a Christmas market trip this year but it's proving to be more difficult than I thought.

Tallinn is the favourite as the family would like some snow but Jet2 have flights out on the 18th and 21st of Dec, no good when the schools break up on the 19th. One option is to use Jet2 out on the 21st then come back via FRA on the 23rd but I'm not sure if I fancy that two days before Christmas.

We also looked at Gdansk but on Dec 21st the Jet2 flights don't arrive until 18:00 which pretty much only gives us one day there.

Ryanair don't have Riga from EMA on sale past Oct, not sure if it's seasonal or will be added at some point?

I know people who have done the likes of Krakow and Prague at Christmas and they've said it was uncomfortably busy so we were looking for something a little calmer.

Will keep looking.

A very random comment.

Yesterday flew from Faro to Birmingham with Ryanair but, instead of tracking north after a 3.15pm take-off the plane tracked along the Algarve coast to approximately Seville.

Then, with the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada in the near distance it tracked north through central Spain.

As a flight it was long, just over three hours, landing at BHX at 6.25pm - the longest Fao - Bhx flight i have ever taken.

Anyone know the reason for this routing and is it possible to view the tracking this plane took online.

Cant comment specifically about your flight, but had a similar situation in December, on one of my regular flights from ALC. Upon departure, rather than turn North, did a 180 and headed back West inland to south of Madrid. Only then did he turn onto a Northern Track, and took a route just over Bilbao and along French Coast. Reason given, ATC flow restrictions due WX. Flight took 2hrs 50, approx 30/35 mins more than usual !

Flightradar may provide some insight. Do remember there can be glitches here or there, however, in the main I find it can be mostly accurate.

Try this link to view the routing of the flight: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/fr2912#3e813278

There is a playback feature too. First scroll the map to Faro airport then click playback button and set the date and time to the flight's departure. When clicking play I noticed the airspace along the Portuguese coast and above Lisbon appears congested, so possible ATC routing?

Went to the cinema at Resorts World at the weekend and popped upstairs to the Skybar Bar/Restaurant. This place is on the top floor of the building and has an outside balcony with one side having views across the NEC complex to BHX and Birmingham in the distance. You won't see much detail (reg numbers etc) without binoculars but if in the area it's a nice place to sit and watch the comings and goings with a cold one (lemonade for me as I'm off the booze at the moment) 👍

Inevitable but sad that CVT closes on Thursday. Apparently Take That apparently the last pax to arrive.

Sad to see the closure of Coventry ( Baginton ) Airport. The venue for the King's Cup Air races when i was a young kid. It has had many roles over the years. In more recent times it had a period of being a parcels operation for Royal Mail. Thomson Holidays had a brief operation to a few holiday destinations. Also, it served as a useful diversionary airfield for BHX arrivals when fog closed Birmingham.
Many a BA or British Midland ( and others) used it as a safe haven.

So proud of our boy showing his class on the world stage. Even as a 16 year old we knew just how good he was but I still remember the laughing and the sneers when we said he's going to be something special. He's proven us right already but lets hope it continues and we can get past Argentina on Wed, which won't be easy.

Never thought I'd ever see another player in a Blues shirt as good as Trevor but Jude is even better shame Blues only had him for a season and a bit in the first team while we had TF for nearly 8 years.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
