Was it the beer can chicken or something different this evening?:)

Not tonight :D

We had chicken wings in a sticky bbq sauce, prawn skewers with a sweet chilli glaze, seasoned smoked mackerel fillets, sweetcorn, mozzarella balls wrapped in Parma Ham and a good old fashioned hot dog with pork & leek sausages.

I'm so stuffed I've had to switch to wine as my stomach can't take any more beer :X3:

We brought some Greek herb mixes back so I’ve made some pork souvlaki and marinated some nice looking pork chops. Think we’ll be eating indoors though. Just enjoying a cheeky Mythos and pretending I’m still on holiday!

What time shall I be there?

BBQ for us tomorrow.

Me too :D

Had an alleged works BBQ on Friday night. Alleged as it was advertised thus but there was no BBQ! There were veggie burgers, something grey and burger shaped, and something grey and sausage/kebab shaped. I am led to believe that the one of the "grey"s was meant to be lamb but it really did not look good! Sorry no pics as I don't want you to be put off eating!

However, last Sunday was quite a different matter as my youngest cousin's eldest daughter had an 18th birthday BBQ and was possibly the best BBQ the family has had in over a decade with plump burgers and sausages and marinated chicken mini breasts, served with 2 sorts of salad. Sorry no pics as the food was just too enjoyable.

After gorging myself on sausages, burgers, steak, chicken etc there's a barbecue desert that I love to finish with. Take a banana and peel it. Cut it in half lengthwise and place it on foil. Grate chocolate over it and add a splash of brandy (a lid full is usually enough). Seal the foil up, and place on the barbecue for a few minutes (depending how soft you like the banana cooked). Yum!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
