CAA Stats December 2019

Published yesterday and show that 24,470 passengers used the airport in the month, down 6.4% on December 2018. Atms were down 26.5%. I thought that the high decrease in atms shown last month was a glitch. Perhaps it wasn't.

Rolling 12-month total and thus the total for the calendar year of 2019 was 461,469, an increase of 1.1% on 2018.

2019 is actually the best ever calendar year in the airport's history, beating the previous best which was in 2017 when 459,924 passengers were handled.

With the additional routes this summer 2020 could easily set another annual passenger record.

CAA Stats January 2020

Rolling 12-month total was 457,826, a decrease of just 0.4% on a year ago..

With EZY doing training flights with a A319 out of Newquay, does this count towards ATMs.
I don't think that they should be but some airports seem to follow their own rules when it comes to stats. For example, the CAA clearly states that when flights are diverted to another airport the passenger figures for the flight should still be credited to the original destination airport in order to 'preserve market analysis'. However, some diversionary airports include the diverted flights in their own passenger figures as almost certainly would the airport of intended destination as that is what the CAA says should happen. This means that the passengers are counted twice.

Published yesterday - academic to an extent at the moment but copied here for record purposes.

I'm intrigued @TheLocalYokel how are these figures comprised? considering the terminal has been closed, with commercial flights suspended, I take it these figures are for the days that the airport was operational and processing passengers, all be it for 4 days in Jan?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
