Are there any rules in the Champions Cup regarding which team must change in the event of a colour clash?.

I saw it noted that the "tradition" is for the home team to play in their second colours. What's difficult to understand that the kits have to be run past an official a few days before to make sure no confusion happens.... one of the commentators said it was hard to actually provide commentary as he had no idea who had the ball..

I read today that the European Championship organisers are to apologise to Cardiff Blues and Glasgow for the colour clash. It seems then that they have some responsibility in ensuring there is no clash.

It probably doesn't help them that Cardiff Blues European kit is similar to their home kit. Last years and the year before which i have was a blue and yellow kit (for the Owen Williams charity) which would've been fine but that was by a different kit supplier.

You got the car sorted then Jerry. A good test over to BRS today. Hope trip was good and spotting ok.

Yep the car is ok and i had a nice run over there. Was only there for 2 hours as it was absolutely freezing with the wind! But i got some good footage and plenty of photos in those 2 hours.

Glad you had a good day and car was ok. It sure is a busy airport for the size of the place. Always something landing or on take off.Be good to see photographs when you get them posted.

Yeah it was busy not constant but it had spurts of activity which meant i could have some time warming back up in the car! Photos are now in the Bristol media gallery and the video will be released Friday.

Were you there in the afternoon, Jerry? The busiest times are usually between about 1130 and 1400 especially on Fridays and Sundays, although with the winter season about to start all periods will be generally less busy than summer of course.

Yep i was there between 14.00 and 16.30.

A BA 747 has arrived in BOH for repairs. The 747 reg no G CIVX got damaged at JFK. This is the first BA 747 into Gama at BOH for repairs.

I see that Wales are playing Scotland tomorrow in an Autumn International. Do the Home Countries usually paly each other during this period? I though that countries from the Southern Hemisphere came over and played the the Six Nations countries. I note that South Africa are playing England tomorrow.

With Cardiff City playing Leicester City (that will be a poignant occasion) at more or less the same time tomorrow that will mean 100,000 rugby and football fans at the two matches. A busy day is in prospect in the city.

There is also WWE in the Motorpoint, Sparks ( Fireworks) in the City Centre starting at 17.00 and an ice hockey match adding to the chaos.
Crazy scheduling , it will stretch the city's infrastructure to its limits.

The Home nations don't generally play each other outside of the SixNations except in a world cup year where they'll play each other in world cup warm ups.

The idea of the game is to honour Doddie Weir a former Scottish player who has motor neuron disease i believe. There was a stink in the papers about his charity not receiving any money from the game but the WRU and SRFU will both make donations now.
As a fan I'd rather them be playing a teir 2 nation like Canada or USA or play the game abroad to promote Wales and the sport but i can also see that in the build up to the World Cup the coaches would want to play stronger opposition and the bean counters want to earn more money so i have mixed feelings about it.

Thank you for that explanation, Jerry.

Jerry did you go down airport yesterday. Did you see both B 787 on the ground at the same time.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
