1. That a U.K. offshore wind industry supply chain develops rapidly.
This will benefit steel fabricators and engineers in the hinterland and raise the U.K. content of expenditure to which we are, as consumers of U.K. energy, the principal paymasters. This will also have the effect of stimulating demand for Danish routes from HUY, which has fallen since Siemens completed their initial training programme.

2. That the gradual rise in energy prices leads to an increase in demand for helicopter operations in the Southern North Sea Basin and increased traffic on the Aberdeen route.

3. That Thomson are eventually able to start a summer Tenerife route as was their announced intention for 2017 and that they also add one or two Mediterranean destinations.

4. That the new Eastern Airways charter programme for Omega is a success and that the extended British Airways summer charter programme at HUY achieves good loads.

5. That the newly-appointed City of Culture Liaison Executive is able to generate new passenger flows through the airport in 2017.

Thank you, Aviador. Best wishes to you and all members of this site for 2017.

I think the management have given an indication that we are not to expect transformational strategies involving sweetheart deals and low cost carriers at the Eastern end of the M180!

Hopefully they'll be successful and extended to other airports as well.

Hopes are high that new arrangements which came into effect with the winter timetable will generate increased traffic.

Numbers so far are encouraging. The introduction of the Embraer 175 / 190 has increased KLM traffic on the Amsterdam route by 12% compared with November last year.

The new marketing arrangement with Flybe coincides with a 19% increase on the Eastern Airways Aberdeen route in November compared with November last year.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
