BT Phonecards, way before mobile's were even thought of.

Excitedly walking to the phone box to call the young lady who finally gave you her number. That sickly feeling as you dialled the number, then hung up before the last digit, for the fourth time! What the hell do I say?!?!?! Finally you get the courage to dial the full number, despite the butterflies in your stomach you wait for the ring. Then it dawns on you, what if her Dad answers? Do I hang up.........do I confidently ask "is ****** there please".........sh!t, what do I do? Then someone picks up the phone........you hear a deep voice say "ello"........in a split second you hang up the receiver. You turn to your mate and say "it was her Dad!" "Bloody hell!" he replies.

So now how long do you leave it? Try again straight away hoping that she is now by the phone, or leave it until tomorrow and risk the same drama all over again?
