I'm guessing many of the flights will have coach transport as well, as part of the packages. NAT travel operates the T9 service so they might put on some extra coaches as part of the service.
It's going to be a great weekend for the spotters with all the different aircraft coming in.

Certainly going to be a very busy period for the airport with possibly the best outcome in terms of the support the two teams bring with them, of course there's a host of VY, IB, IBS flights pencilled in aswell for both CWL and BRS, Will be interesting to see the full list of flights that are due in over the course of those few days which in sure will become clear very soon, however there's some movements I've noticed already scheduled that are a bit different:

1st June

Be great to see so many new airlines at CWL. Be great to see so many different types of aircraft especially older ones like A310's and MD83's. Also we don't get to see CRJ's often either.

Im interested in driving down from Manchester, for the Champions league flights, is the list publishedcon this thread the sum total or is it to be updated nearer the time. Cheers Tom.

I don't think it's the sum total yet. There may be more flights to come and the times may change as well. From what i've read elsewhere everything will become concrete at the end of the week.

Being designated for Juventus has certainly given CWL a lot of variety in airlines and aircraft not usually seen at CWL the spotters will love it!

Where is a good location for photography for all these Champions League flights ? Im driving from Manchester.

I'd be a bit twitchy if I was on one of the last arrivals. With a 1945 kick-off time a delayed flight could make things tight.

Seems a lot of road closures as this event is happening. The problem I face is arriving and finding nowhere to park. Maybe Bristol might be a better choice. Cheers Tom.

The snag with BRS is that many of the football flights are coming in during the early hours although there will still be more than a dozen after 0800 on the Saturday, assuming they all operate.

This is a link to the BRS Mayfly that shows all planned commercial arrivals and departures, including but not just those for the football. Click on week commencing 29 May 2017 and then scroll down to Saturday.

http://www.bristolairportspotting.co.uk/spotters-tools/mayflys/

If you do decide on BRS this website gives a good overview of spotting locations

http://www.bristolairportspotting.co.uk

Hover the cursor over Spotters Tools then scroll down to Spotting Locations. Winters Lane South is the most popular. It's a country lane (BRS is sited in a completely rural location) with a lengthy puli-in right outside the airport boundary fence. The problem is that the fence is mesh and not good for photography unless you bring a portable ladder to see over the top.

The background though is quite spectacular as the airport sits 600 feet above the Severn estuary a few miles to the west. On clear days you can see the Welsh coast and beyond, including the Brecon Beacons and the city of Cardiff itself from that location.

Whichever side of the Severn you plump for I hope the weather is kind and that you have an enjoyable day.

Looking at the flights I would say that accounts for 12'000 Juve fans some will go through other airports so suspect what is down now is about it. Unsure what to do to be honest looking Bristol looks pretty pointless surely it is going to be rammed down Cardiff and not knowing where to go for the best doesn't help I would be heading down from near Sheffield but with some flights travelling up to BHX to park it may be a better option.

Ive heard 2 B747 are going into Birmingham, on Saturday showing VM 001 -003 is that Wamos?

According to the attached photo there will be a viewing area on the Southside. The Airport is advising people to park at Rhoose station and walk there

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
