I believe that they hope to eventually put it into a public area so people can view it.It’s great to see the BOAC 747 preserved. If it was moved to a museum I would definitely be interested in visiting!
I only just saw this! There’s an online 747 preservation advocacy group and the members are understandably outraged by this. I haven’t been able to find an explanation for it.
I don't know, there was supposed to be a paint shop being setup at St Athan. Could be for that?I've just noticed there's a 'new' apron and hangar at St. Athan - Apron K1 - that has been built over the former taxiway J. Is this an expansion of Caerdav's operation?
Yep it's sad news that it was scrapped.I only just saw this! There’s an online 747 preservation advocacy group and the members are understandably outraged by this. I haven’t been able to find an explanation for it.
The Negus 747 is still intact at Kemble and there are apparently tours of it … but for how long?
I'm sure Jet2 has used Caerdav before?Does anyone know what G-IFIT the Jet2 runabout was doing at St Athan today, could it possibly lead to more work for CaerDav ?
