Does anyone know how many extra flights there'll be for the Italy game in the Six nations. The game is on the 8/2/25.

I know that Strachan Sports Travel, Robert Davies Sports Travel, and Wonky Sheep Travel, all have charters to Rome, some leaving CWL 6/2 and returning on 9/2, whether one or two of the sports companies are sharing a flight I don't know. I think MJC73 is about correct on 3/4 flights. It would nice if there were more. The Welsh team is flying out from CWL next Wednesday on British Airways.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't at half a dozen. Won't really know until closer to the game.

With the exception of the Wales team flying to Paris Le Bourget on 29/1/25 at 15.00 with British Airways (most likely Cityflyer) there's no other charters for the Wales Six Nations game in Paris sadly.

That’s a bit of a surprise compared to last years influx of flights from France.

France in Cardiff has always been the biggest airlift just was hoping there'd be 1 or 2 flights to Paris.

France supporters more apt to attend away games than Wales supporters? I don't know, but it is a possible reason.

The French games were always the most popular, whether home or away. Surprised there aren't any flights.

Gullivers are offering packages with flights from Cardiff. Wonkysheep are showing sold out.
Is it just a case that flight slots haven't been published yet?

There's a week to go I'd have thought they'd be filed now. With Gullivers I wouldn't be surprised if they've transferred all their passenger's over to Bristol and even the Eurostar.

There's also a departure on Friday morning Jerry with Jet2
Yep was just about to post about that.
Looking at the airlines the aircraft type should be at least 737 800s. Giving a potential of hopefully at least 1100 fans travelling through. Fingers crossed with Jet2 we'll see some A321s to boost the numbers. So should give the airport an extra 2000 passengers for February alongside the fans coming for the Ireland game.

11 Dublin flights and 5 Belfast due into CWL including the usual scheduled flights, for the Rugby between 20 and 22nd Feb, that will be a boost for the airport passenger numbers, all we need now is for Wales to start winning. Sam Smith travel are advertising a tour to Japan in the summer, for Welsh fans wishing to see Wales playing there. The flights are from CWL on indirect routing, probably via Amsterdam.

Just wish Aer lingus would pick up some scheduled routes to Dublin. I was just looking online and it looks like the Thursday flight back to Dublin has sold out!
Their BHD route also regularly sells really well but I feel like they’re dragging their heels on a second daily.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
