North terminal Pick up

Hi all
I am going to pick up my mum on thursday next week at 2pm on North terminal.Do you have any experiences with picking up ?? how to arrange it? I found few tips as pick up at drop off point, I've never been there by car to pick someone up. Is better to use short stay carpark? and how much is it per one hour? (I've tried to quote it online and the price is Ł45, it's quite expensive isn't it?) thank you for any help!

Hi Natalie, parking at Gatwick is expensive, even if you're just picking someone up. The car park prices for just a short duration aren't cheap. Unfortunately I'm not local to the airport so I can't give you any local knowledge bur I would suggest parking off-site until you receive a call from the person you're picking up. At least this way you're not going to be paying out any more than you have to do.

Have you thought about parking at a railway station down the line. It may be cheaper even for two of you.
