So handling staff normally assigned to these flights at MAN should be available to cover alternative work if required?

When it comes to snow you have to consider if all the staff that were meant to be on duty could make it into work.

After my 'tongue-in-cheek' remarks yesterday about MAN's bad luck with the timing of the snow shower, it's only fair to point out that we fared much better than some airports such as GLA, DUB, BRS, CWL, and EMA. With a second closure last evening, even BHX was shut longer than MAN. I imagine there will be lots of a/c and crew in the wrong place.

Anyway, less cold weather should arrive over the weekend
for most.

LAX_LHR on that other forum reporting that MAN has taken diverts from LCY. Flights from Berlin and Orly appeared on MAN arrivals but I suspect the FRA he mentions did get in at LCY.

More of what's come in:
U27404 /EZY16UQ OE-LQQ AMS-Southend
EXS1204 - Boeing 737-800, G-JZHM ALC-BHX
LH956 DLH3WC - Airbus A320, D-AINI FRA-BHX
BEE54CD - Embrear 175, G-FBJK LYS-BHX
BEE7048 - Dash 8-Q400, G-PRPA DUS-BHX
LS1202 /EXS22D G-JZBE Alicante-BHX
RAF C17 ZZ175 Brize
UAE37 A6-EUB DXB-BHX
GMI4035 D-ABLA Hahn-BHX

MT1623 /TCX1623 G-TCDC looks to be heading this way... Banjul-BHX

What a contrast with Wednesday's shower here and the lack of diversions yesterday. Well done MAN and whoever it was that left the doors open for so long. Can't be much room on the apron.

If anyone's been counting, I make it 18 today, but a poster on that other forum makes it 20 and our former contributor says over 20. A Ryanair was mentioned which I may have missed.

Just been trying to collate a list. Was far too busy at work to look at FR24 on my phone! DOesn't help that some divs are shown as arriving at the planned for airport. These are in time order of planned arrivals into the original airport

G-EZOU and OE-LQQ have left and I believe 1 of the BA Cityflyers. Frees up a miniscule amount of room on the apron!

No div NOTAM in place until 1200. It was activated just before the RYR landed at 2231 last night.

FR9084 EI-EVR diverted in from EMA at 00.50 (no attempt to land there)

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
