One diversion out today - MON505 G-ZBAK went to LPL arriving there at 8.12pm , only getting in here at around 9.40pm

DL421 had a massive delay today - along with most others from the US East Coast, I think weather related.

Departed JFK 0500am, arrived MAN 1630.

Hmmm. Very strange.

I assumed part of the EWR bump would be due to the shorter IAD season, but that is pushing it!

Might worth keeping an eye on the weather Thursday PM in the South East. Forecast is showing snow and some high winds hitting LTN around 16.00 for a couple of hours moving SE taking in LHR, LGW, STN etc. Some flights already cancelled at LHR for Thursday afternoon/evening.
Might end up with nothing but it's best to be prepared I think.

For info Sat 21/1 EI-FMJ ATR72 STK37BH was a BHX diversion due to fog.
Freezing fog forecast for Monday 23/1 widespread but worse in the South.

One diversion from LBA today...

10:20 BE731 Belfast (BHD) Flybe DH8D G-PRPE Diverted to MAN

But this is showing as well for us

08:05 BE471 Belfast (BHD) Flybe DH8D G-FLBC Diverted to LBA
The routing on FR24 shows it didn't even attempt coming to MAN?!

WOW A320 TF-BRO has diverted in, according to AlphaFive, on stand 243.
It's the KEF-BRS service. A number of cancellations/diversions at BRS this morning because of fog.

#StormDorris looks set to cause problems on Thursday with the Met Office issuing an #AmberWarning for severe gales. Forecasters are predicting winds gusting west-northwesterly upto 70 knots.

Could be OK for LBA - straight down the runway at that direction.

This was posted on the LBA thread where several a/c diverted away due to high winds and wind shear.

"Aer Lingus and Ryanair both inbound from Dublin wanted to divert to Manchester but we're told they wouldn't be accepted unless the declared an emergency"

Has the notam been changed because as was mentioned, the notam recently only showed the A380 and B747-800 passenger a/c not being accepted due taxiway work I believe?

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
