Yes, the same has happened again. Despite the EXT-FAO being scheduled for a 07:30 departure, G-FDZR only left BRS for EXT at 09:30, meaning the FAO flight didn't leave EXT until after 10:50.

Unless they position in another aircraft for this afternoon's ACE flight, the same thing may well happen again. The inbound ACE-EXT is due in at 23:40. With the current delay, this could be as late as 3am.

I recently wrote a rather lengthy explanation of BRS's night time movements and night time noise quota restrictions. There are exemptions
for such things as 'wider air traffic congestion, air strikes and medical emergencies'. I'm not sure whether these diversions will be exempt.

If not and because BRS is close to its night time limits, the EXT diversions might not be welcome at Lulsgate if they become too regular.

There looked to be quite a lot of fed up passengers, but you would be having an 07.30 departure and not then departing until 10.40.
Yes, getting up at silly o'clock then finding that there is a substantial delay to your flight is not something that would delight many. It's one of the things that makes air travel 'interesting'.

Going back to the second jet, bournmouth are only getting it fron friday morning to sunday night as its needed very early on monday. That leaves two gaps at exeter on tuesday morning and thursday from 16.00. So ether it will be doing the tuesday tennerife flight and the ex palma alba star flight or there will be two extra routes to be announced soon. Like reus on tui website it still says tennerife ops by norweigan at 13.05 and the palma flight alba star at 10.45 thursday .the jet must possition to bourn early fri the dept is at 07.50 so it could leave exeter around 06.15 then the same crew fly the 07.50 flight.

Can confirm told by tui at exeter the 2020 tennerife flight will be op by based tui 738 dep 06.15 ish and that one jet will pos to bournmouth early friday, so this leaves a gap on thurs pm from 16.00 ish, maybe extra palma flight ops by alba star this year, but the airport summer 2020 pre view broucher shows palma tues, wed, fri, sat only. So maybe new flight dest coming like reus, gerona or they will do an extra palma flight thurs..

More tui cuts at exeter, understand the turkey flights this summer are now 3x not 5x with two flights ops by freebird being cut.

News to me that TUI were even planning five flights per week from EXT to Turkish destinations for summer 2020, so hardly a cut back from previous years....

I think Flybeboy means cut backs in the planned expansion.
The cynic in me says that TUI announce these "new routes" to get the early bookings and then move them to other airports quoting "lack of interest" or not enough interest. Therefore the customer is tied to TUI.

I actually think with these flights they can't get a carrier to actually operate them so have had to scrap them.

I don't believe for there is no airline that would take up a TUI route. For a starter a airline doing a TUI route is good business and I would think better work than they could get else where. The only thing TUI would have to be carefull with is the quality and operations of any foreign airline as a few out there is a bit suspect, but saying that there is a lot of good airlines out there as well. I should say if a route is dropped then it would be down to pax take up,also there is many other things that dictate weather a route is taken up or not.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
