How many aircraft would 50 crew members support?
A 738 or 7M8/9 would normally have minimum 4 x cabin crew. Obviously not all crew will work every day. Based on 4, this would service up to 12 x aircraft. Ryanair already have a substantial presence at EDI. This latest drive would suggest that they intend to grow network and launch new routes or increased frequency in the months ahead. Good news for EDI.

12 aircraft would operate 36 flights per day. If each crew team did 2 flights per day, that would require 18 crew teams. Allowing for the fact that they do not work every day, I would say they require 24 crew teams so a max of 6 aircraft would be my humble opinion.

I would probably say less maybe 1-2 A/C because Ryanair have a set roster pattern of 5 on 3 off which means they have 16 ‘cabin crew rosters’ so depending on how many aircraft based and how many flights operate would be how many number people on that roster , an example is an 6 A/C base will see 13 crew which would normally breakdown to 2 PU, 1-2 JUPU and 7-9 JU crew on just one roster alone

Couple of Ryanair schedule changes from EDI, having looked at the website and compared it to my notes, all is subject to change of course.

  • Naples reduced from 3 to 2 weekly
  • Gdansk reduced from 5 to 2 weekly for June and July before reducing from 5 to 4 weekly from August
  • Faro reduced from 6 to 5 weekly
  • Bucharest increased from 2 to 3 weekly
  • Malaga reduced from 7 to 6 weekly in April and May

Some additional Euros capacity added today to Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Memmingen and Cologne (CGN expected on sale shortly)

TIA and GOT have been cancelled for this winter, and simply put, Ryanair's schedule is a bit all over the place, especially in January as Ryanair makes changes across the network.

Multiple routes see reductions in January before either returning to normal levels in February

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
