Only fair to get the STN thread moving with this information.

Primera Air today (20JUL17) announced new service launch to the US in 2018, with its new Airbus A321neo aircraft, intensifying low-fare carrier’s competition on Trans-Atlantic routes. From Europe, the airline will operate service from Birmingham, London Stansted and Paris CDG, while points in the US include Boston and Newark initially. Configuration of the A321neo is C16Y182.

Planned operation as follow.

Birmingham – Boston eff 22JUN18 4 weekly
PF053 BHX1715 – 2015BOS 32B x246
PF054 BOS2145 – 0930+1BHX 32B x246

Birmingham – Newark eff 18MAY18 1 daily
PF051 BHX1745 – 2100EWR 32B D
PF052 EWR2230 – 1030+1BHX 32B D

PF041 STN1755 – 2120EWR 32B D
PF042 EWR2250 – 1100+1STN 32B D

Given that Primera Air's two new routes to New York and Boston will not start operating until June 2018, i have been pondering over the relatively late departure times ie 1715 and 1745. Is it possible that in the coming weeks we might hear of further flight developments ie new Primera Air links between Denmark and BHX, thus Danish pax being able to transit for onward travel to the States.

Just a thought..

Do you Brummies not have your own forum and much bigger thread, im so jealous your forum is so much more popular. Nobody loves Stansted :cry::cry::cry::cry:

Just keeping the STN forum upto date guys, I know this is late news to the rest of us.

However the STN thread is like waking somebody up from the dead, LOL

Primera Air yesterday (24OCT17) announced service launch to Canada, after securing operational licence between Canada and the European Community and its Member States on 18OCT17.

The airline’s Airbus A321neo will operate service to Toronto, from Birmingham, London and Paris. Planned schedule as follow.

Birmingham – Toronto eff 23JUN18 3 weekly
PF055 BHX1610 – 1840YYZ 321 246
PF056 YYZ2010 – 0930+1BHX 321 246

London Stansted – Toronto eff 19MAY18 3 weekly
PF045 STN1625 – 1910YYZ 321 246
PF046 YYZ2040 – 1010+1STN 321 246

Paris CDG – Toronto eff 22JUN18 4 weekly
PF025 CDG1715 – 1910YYZ 321 x246
PF026 YYZ2040 – 1110+1CDG 321 x246

Stansted to Toronto will increase to five weekly from August. Is this perhaps on account of one of the BHX a/c moving to Stansted and operating IAD 5x a week and YYZ the additional two?

From ch-aviation:

Primera Air Scandinavia has confirmed it will add additional wet-leased aircraft to its summer London Stansted-based fleet amid delays in deliveries of its first A321neo.

Airline chief executive Hrafn "Krummi" Thorgeirsson told ch-aviation in a statement that the Scandinavian carrier would wet-lease a B767-300(ER) from euroAtlantic Airways for transatlantic flights between May 19 and mid-August. The widebody will supplement what is now known to be one B757-200 which will be wet-leased from National Airlines for use on Primera Air's London Stansted-Newark (and occasionally Boston) flights between April 19 to August 4.

Primera Air was to have taken delivery of its first A321neo this month. Thorgeirsson did not proffer any revised dates for the arrival of the type, but expects three A321neo to operate alongside the wet-lease equipment this summer.

STN-EWR is also being reduced from Daily for the period 18MAY18 to 29MAY18.

So now they will have a few unhappy STN passengers who cannot change there travel plans.

The National Airlines 757 (N176CA) flew out on the inaugural flight, back, out again...and then it broke down. That got yesterday's flight cancelled and it seems today's will be too.

What will this be doing to their reputation, I dread to think :(

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
