Nothing yet in the TUI timetable to Turkey from BRS in October whereas easyJet and Jet2 are showing availability to Dalaman (both airlines) and Antalya (Jet2) in October.

According a world leading search engine Tui plans to operate short haul 787 flights to palma, Antalya , dalaman, Tenerife and Sal next summer

With Cancun and Florida both shown as 2 x weekly that would mean a full time based 787 in summer 2022 as was going to be the case in summer 2020 with the aircraft operating both long-haul and short-haul.

I can't remember which short-haul routes were shown for summer 2020. When the 787 was based 5 days a week I have a feeling that Dubrovnik was one of the short-haul routes operated then.

Turkey, Palma and Tenerife do not surprise me. Cape Verde does however.
TUI operated to Sal from BRS from 2015 to 2019, year-round for much of the time, with 787s some seasons. At one point TUI announced Boa Vista to operate alongside Sal but that was later withdrawn.

Summer 2022

A quick look at a week in peak-summer 2022 shows 6x based aircraft at BRS and 77x weekly departures.
The 6x based aircraft will be 5x 737s and 1x B787 - (3x B738, 2x B7M8, 1x B788)

The based B787 will operate:
Mon - CUN (Cancun)
Tue - PMI / SID (Palma / Sal, Cape Verde)
Wed - MLB (Melbourne Orlando)
Thu - AYT / DLM (Antalya / Dalaman)
Fri - CUN (Cancun)
Sat - MLB (Melbourne Orlando)
Sun - AYT / TFS (Antalya / Tenerife)

Cape Verde (Sal)

I notice that Cape Verde is on the departure boards for tomorrow.

Perhaps I've missed it but I can't remember seeing Cape Verde on the departure boards previously this winter, or for this year for that matter. I think it previously operated until the pandemic began in March last year.

The TUI timetable shows it operating once weekly this month then all through 2022 and 2023 until October 2023 which is as far as the timetable goes.

Pula has been dropped for summer 22 leaving a gap on tues and sat am which I cannot find a replacement so far. Incidentally P&o is offering a weekly charter every Thursday to Malta to connect with its cruises which if I remember pre - Covid Tui intended to operate

In fairness Alicante was removed for sale for summer 22 many months ago sadly . Girona and faro also long gone

Hardly surprising. Benidorm is a saturated market. Don't forget TUI isn't just an Airline, it's primary business is Tour Operator. They are still selling holidays using Easyjet flights which creates much more flexibility for it's customers and allows another flight to be operated in it's place on it's own aircraft.

TUI still sell Costa Blanca holidays using EZY flights.
With 16 weekly EZY flights it's better for TUI to buy cheap seats and give their customers more flexibility on travel days and holiday length than operate 1 or 2 flights themselves restricted to certain days and holiday lengths.

It seems to make some businesses sense. If TUI know that they will struggle to fill 2 weekly flights to Alicante, de-risk and take some seats from another airline to provide the market. They still have there foot in the market however they can now send that aircraft somewhere else that they could make more money/better returns and know they won't struggle to fill the aircraft.

Also wins for easyJet who now have a guarantee a number of seats sold on some flights, therefore, able to raise the prices and get a better revenue on the Alicante route.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
