TUI pushing CUN in a big way from BRS which is good to see.Does any one know if they doing the same from other UK airports. With Brexit in a shambles it looks like holiday companies looking to get holiday makers away from Europe. Apart from the exchange rate I wonder if long haul holidays would be better value than the European holidays.

It'll be interesting to see how it gets on! October 2018 stats saw 1715 passengers use the service. TUI must be confident of getting the same or more numbers.

As it currently stands both Orlando and cancun will operate at full schedule throughout summer 2020 with no Scottish break cover

Good news.. will that be a based 788 now?

Incidentally, is the Montego Bay flight a one off tomorrow? A cruise departure?

At this time, the schedule is definitely still a work in progress, but currently BRS will see a based 787 Mon-Sat in 2020.

Heres the peak-summer BRS-based 787 schedule below:

Mon
LPA (dep 06:00, arr 15:15)
BOJ (dep 16:45, arr 01:05+1)

Tue
CUN (dep 09:30, arr 07:10+1)

Wed
PMI (dep 09:10, arr 15:10) *times clash
DLM (dep 15:10, arr 00:55+1)

Thu
DBV (dep 07:55, arr 14:45) *times clash
SFB (dep 12:15, arr 07:15+1)

Fri
CUN (dep 09:45, arr 07:25+1)

Sat
PMI (dep 09:25, arr 15:25)

Lots of schedule changes to come as some days have 4x (non-787) morning departures, and others only one!

I wonder whether this is all working up to a 3 x 737 base and an extended 787 programme that includes additional short haul routes.

Definitely an interesting schedule as I believe only MAN and LGW sees such extensive 787 short haul through the summer season.

Seems such a waste using a long haul aircraft on so many short haul flights. Would make sense if it was split between a short haul 787 part week and the long haul 787 part week, but it's a mixture of days.

Sunday for the Dreamliner being filled now by Heraklion for summer 2020 - permanent based Dreamliner now.
The TUI 2020 timetable seems in a continual state of flux and not just at BRS. I'm not sure I'd want to book anything just yet. Keeping an eye on the number of 737s required next year might be a useful exercise.

I'd be surprised if they only operate one short haul flight per day on a 787. Seems a complete waste. So there could be more SH 787 routes to come.

I would like to hope that the 4 based 737s would remain and the likes of skiathos and Thessaloniki will return to the booking system plus maybe a few new routes. Nothing so far is new

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
