Looks like some passengers might be getting an upgrade this afternoon as 787-9 G-tuim has positioned in from gatters.

Nothing looks to be delayed on the departure boards tho so unsure unless it’s a cruise flight?

Currently on its way to Dubrovnik

Which aircraft type normally operates the TUI Sunday Dubrovnik - the B738 or B757? I know the Thursday flight is flown by the part-based B787-8.

There was a delay to the BRS-CUN flight yesterday which made it late. Pushed back, then passenger requested to disembark which then they had to go back onto the stand and look for bags.
If the arrivals board is to be believed the CUN flight landed 8 mins early,so made up time some where.

According to FR24 it arrived in CUN 53mins late, then departed just 8mins late. So it’s looks like all the stops were pulled out on the turnaround to reduce the delay returning. FR24 then shows a 7min early arrival into BRS.

Summary of TOM Routes - Summer 2019
Summer 2019 is upon us, and I realised there hasn't been a post about this summer for a while.
The based aircraft this peak-summer should have been 4x TUI B738 and a 5-day-a-week based B788, however due to the 737MAX groundings, the base is 1xB752, 3x B738s and the part-week based B788.
2019 sees the B788 operate some shorthaul flying, similar to LGW and MAN bases. This keeps BRS as the 4th largest TUI base in the UK and Ireland after LGW, MAN and BHX.

I've compared a week in August 2019 to the same week in 2018 of TUI Airways schedule from BRS.

-----------------------------------------------
Number of routes operating per week:
2018 - Total: 38
2019 - Total: 38

2018 - Shorthaul: 35
2019 - Shorthaul: 36 (+1)

2018 - Longhaul: 3
2019 - Longhaul: 2 (-1)
-----------------------------------------------
Number of flights per week:
2018 - Total: 65
2019 - Total: 68 (+3)

2018
- Operated by TUI: 62
2019 - Operated by TUI: 64 (+2)

2018
- Operated by other airlines: 3
2019 - Operated by other airlines: 4 (+1)
-----------------------------------------------
Number of aircraft based:
2018: 4 - (2x B752, 2x B738 and a B788 based 2 days per week)
2019: 4 - (1x B752, 3x B738 and a B788 based 5 days per week)

According to a post on Facebook the Saturday morning PMI in 2020 will be operated on the 787 Dreamliner. What will that be then 4 or 5 short haul routes operated on the 787?

G-TUIL B789 just leaving LGW to operate BRS-BOJ-BRS-LGW this afternoon.
That will be two B787s today then with TUI also operating the regular Orlando Sanford earlier in the day.

G TUIL lined up with 09 ILS above my house in Weston Super Mare. Lovely sight with no cloud.
We covered both today then because I was mowing the lawn this morning when the 787 departed for Florida from 09 and, as with you, she had a beautiful blue sky as background as she began her left turn over the city to head off to the USA.

Orlando end of October, cancun early December. Both resume at end of March
Looking at the CAA stats Cancun didn't operate last November. Given that Cancun operates 2 x weekly this year and continues for a longer season, the yields must satisfy TUI as we know that on some occasions the outbound journey requires a fuel stop in the UK before setting off across the Atlantic. For the past few weeks both weekly flights seem to have operated non-stop, although I wasn't able to check during the week 1-8 September when I was out of the country.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
