Good news with Malta returning next year. 1 difference is the air Malta flight was classed as schedule and TUI will be classed as a charter flight.

Is the Malta flight linked to P&O does anyone know as Thursday is their change over day and they fly in 2,000 plus passengers that day from the UK including us twice this year.

The Air Malta flight has always been on a Tuesday. TUI have always only taken a percentage of seats, shared with other Tour operators.
TCX used to have an allocation on Air Malta too, but not sure if that stopped when they introduced their own flight. TCX used to carry P&O passengers on their flight, so theres quite a capacity reduction by different tour operators.
It would make sense if TUI have switched to a Thursday flight for P&O to have an allocation although I'm sure TUI could fill the flight themselves.

Thanks, only wondered as we flew From BHX in October with Tui and the flight turned out as a 100% P&O charter, with P&O staff running the check in process. Our May trip was with Thomas Cook and was a mixed flight but overwhelmingly cruise passengers.

So that means there will be 5 x weekly to Malta next summer as in recent years, 4 with Ryanair and 1 with TUI replacing the previous years' 3 with Ryanair, 1 with Air Malta and 1 with Thomas Cook.

Tonight’s SID-BRS doesn’t seem to have departed and from TUI’s website looks to have been rescheduled for departure tomorrow (25.5 hours late). A real shame for those passengers and crew thinking they’d be home for Christmas – they’ll now miss the full day. Unless, of course, this was planned but it seems unlikely.

Presumably some sort of problem at the SID end. The outbound is shown as departing BRS this morning and arriving at SID just a few minutes late.

Yeah it definitely arrived there okay. A shame for all those affected.
Yes, it is a shame but at least BRS is open tomorow for a handful of 'rostered' flights so the TUI from Cape Verde should be able to get in without being diverted somewhere else.

There’s been a few changes in recent days to next summers schedule - hopefully blips - Izmir gone , Bodrum reduces to once a week and a weekly rotation to both Zante and dalaman both dropped

Wouldn't be surprised if the realisation of the Max not being back in service by summer has hit and some expansion plans are being reviewed. It's still early enough for people to be rebooked.

The latest changes (hopefully a temporary glitch), still means BRS requires 6x based shorthaul aircraft throughout the week, however there are the following gaps to be filled:
Thu morning - B737
Sat afternoon - B737
Sunday morning - B737
Wed afternoon - B757

Dalaman has been reduced again with the dropping of the Wednesday flight. Hopefully a glitch

The original publicly announced programme for TUI invariably undergoes changes before a season begins, and not just at BRS. If the MAX issue does mean that aircraft are in short supply there might also be market uncertainty around Brexit even if it turns out to be unfounded so far as air travel is concerned.

The Saturday Izmir has been replaced by a tui flight to Antalya which is replacing the weekly other carrier service that was planned

Saturday 4 January 2020

Six TUI return flights today:

Innsbruck (which seems to have replaced Memmingen this winter)
Geneva
Chambery
Fuerteventura
Salzburg
Verona

According to FR24 all operated by B 737-800 aircraft with the Verona operated by an Enter Air B737-800 under a TOM flight code.

There was an Enter Air parked in the distance on Thursday, must have been at the new stands? Someone i spoke to said it had been parked up there for 4 days.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
