LM have moved the LHR slots that they were holding for NQY across to other routes in recent days. I'd say any prospect of them launching LHR/NQY this summer is between remote and non-existent. Not sure which came first between them moving the slots at the notice about Newquay PSO procurement being discontinued, but the two have to be linked in some way, surely?

Below is a link to an article by Simon Calder in the Independent regarding the expansion of services planned for NQY this summer. There will be ten airlines serving the airport with Edelweiss, Loganair, easyJet and Eastern Airways new to NQY. An airport spokesman said, “And from what we hear, there may be more to come.”

.

Thank you for that, Concorde_LBA. Probably no surprise given the current situation.

With regards to the PSO flights I am seeing rumours that Eastern airways could be awarded the contract and the London airport that will be served is London Gatwick. Possibly using the ATR-72 or Embraers.

There’s no official confirmation of this at this time but one to keep an eye out for.

It looks like SkyBus are going to operate the Newquay-Gatwick PSO. With what idk because they only have Twin Otters i believe.

Maybe some aircraft swaps between IOS and Augrignys ATR's.

EDIT: Just seen they will be chartering an ATR72 from Blue Islands. Surprise Blue Islands can spare one!
Maybe quieter over the winter but then you'd have thought they'd look to takeover some of the football charter work.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
