Thomas Cook has launched eight destinations for package customers looking to travel from Liverpool John Lennon Airport next summer. This will be the first time in over ten years the company has offered holidays from Liverpool.

Holidays to the popular hotspots of Lanzarote, Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca, Majorca, Algarve, Naples, Dalaman and Larnaca are now available to book for travel between May and October 2019 and include flights with easyJet. Holidays are available to a range of Thomas Cook’s own brand hotels, including hotels from the Sunprime, SENTIDO, Sunwing, smartline and SunConnect ranges.

Chris Mottershead, Thomas Cook UK Managing Director, said: “We’re always looking for ways to make going on holiday easier and are excited to once again be offering Liverpool to our customers in the north west who want to get away from their local airport.”

Declan Maguire, Aviation Development Manager at Liverpool Airport, said: “We are delighted that Thomas Cook and their flying partner, easyJet, will be offering passengers in the North West the opportunity to purchase quality package holidays to a selection of the 65+ leading destinations served from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, the faster, easier and friendlier airport in the North West."

The addition of Liverpool John Lennon Airport gives Thomas Cook customers a choice of 17 airports across the UK for their summer 2019 holiday.

Nothing to get too excited about as they intend to use Easyjet scheduled services to provide the service. Still a positive news story for the airport.

I'm wondering how many seats will actually be available to Thomas Cook.

I can't see easyJet operating many more flights but it will help them with the ever important "yield".

Maybe they are planning to use more A320s next year rather than A319s, easyjets flights are already busy so perhaps that might create a few more seats for Thomas Cook to use.
I would expect if Thomas Cook do well they could use their own aircraft in the future.

The two Chambery flights this morning have flight numbers of CNJ 057 departing at 11.00. And CNJ 074 at 11.45

Not sure where to post this but a Gloster Meteor T 7 will operate from Coventry to Liverpool tomorrow or possibly Tuesday. It has been sold to the US. It will have its wings dismantled then taken to Liverpool Docks to go by ship to the US. Reg G BWMF

This I believe is the oldest flying jet still flying in the UK and will be the last opportunity to see it before it leaves for its new home in the US.

Yes I believe so, it looks a pretty old type of air force jet. There was one on display at RAF Woodvale for some years.

Just googled it and it was the UKs first jet fighter and the only Allied jet fighter to combat is WW2. So definitely has it's place in the history books!

According to Wikipedia there are 5 left 4 in the UK which includes the one going to the US and 1 in Australia.
