I guess the question is, would bhx get more than 8 based even if the ema base remained the same or to go higher than 8 are we reliant on Ema ? Ie : could we hv 9 and ema stay the same ?

There are already 8 routes that were operated this summer that arent on sale yet. Priority is getting those routs back on safe first before trying to figure out what space their are in the schedule for new routes.

Bordeaux is definitely not returning especially after they closed its Ryanair base.
Santander I’m sure I’ve heard it’s not returning

Not sure on Tirana,Warsaw

Reus,Murcia,Seville and Valencia will continue i believe

Correct. However, until we know how/if the above routes fit into the above schedule, its hard to tell how many new routes maybe possible!

  • Bordeaux- Highly likely to be replaced by an airport nearby
  • Warsaw Modlin - Was talks of move over to Chopin
  • Tirana
Returning just not on sale yet
  • Reus
  • Murica
  • Seville
  • Valencia
Unsure at current time but likely to return
  • Santander

My understanding about REU.RMU,SVQ,VLC is that Ryanair and Aena are in dispute over fees.

Spanish legislation says they are meant to be frozen until 2026, Aena want to raise them 0.5%.

For BHX It was meant to be cut as it wasn’t the most profitable route out of the BHX but due to (worse case scenario) WMI,TIA being cut they’re debating to keep it or not.

SDR was supposed to be cut also from MAN, again, if I recall, because of a dispute with the airport. RYR seem to have disputes with a lot of airports.

I would have thought that SCQ would do better in terms of passengers.

Personally, I think it depends on the personal Ryanair are sending to airports to negotiate but also what deals Ryanair management have told them to get or as close as possible because we all know Ryanair is asking for the lowest price possible but also asking subsidies at the same time.

I agree SCQ would be a better choice as you get more demographic , From what I’ve seen when I was operating on the flights to SDR it was mainly pensioners and School trips

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
