Cologne is never likely to work its only 25 miles from Dusseldorf which has been served continously from the 1960s and to be fair the loads by Eurowings are not great with the general drop off in business travel since covid. Its a bit like EMA cannot attract the like of KLM or AF due to its proximity to BHX.

Not much to report though Ryanair have increased its Murcia and Seville routes this time.

Busy Ryanair days as it stands:Mondays,Fridays and weekends

Tuesday Wednesday and Thursdays are quiet as expected with Ryanair
 
I am quite surprised that Faro is already fully booked on most of the days close to New Year's Eve - and those that still have seats are very expensive.

Any heads-up on Ryanair possibly adding extra flights.

At the moment it looks as if I will have to fly to Lisbon and then take the train down...

True.So next year will be more or less this year in terms of expansion.I know tariffs are high everywhere else but would be nice to get a few new routes on the system for next summer.Obviously not now
 
Ryanair reportedly dropping three French bases following a huge hike in air passenger taxes. Bergerac, Brive, and Strasbourg. Not sure of any affect on BHX, but obviously no possibility of those destinations being added in the near future.

According to Ryanair Facebook page they'll be launching Rovaniemi🇫🇮 from Birmingham.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.

15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
