Disgrace champions league final is the biggest club game and rebdls fans blind hope some airline out there can somehow rescue those people's day.

Indeed.....I wouldn't want to be the one phoning customers saying their flight is now not operating !

On the airport arrive tomorrow there are two ET flights showing one from Paris and one from Frankfurt...0925 and 1020. Also an SAA at 0900 arriving.

Showing ET depatures at 10 20 and 12.05

There is an ET8702 ' go to gate ' on website now so it looks like at least this Eithiopean Airlines service is going

There was a report late last night on BBC news saying over 1000 people had their trips cancelled. At the end of the report the news reader said it looked like the problem with airports slots had been resolved although it didn't make it clear if the flights would now take place.

I do wonder if they have found another airport or perhaps a military base for the additional charter flights?

It seems the vast majority of flights are going to Kiev Boryspil Int Airport, there are however some which are going to Kiev Zhuliany Airport.

The reinstate Eithiopean Airlines this morning was 4 hours delayed due to a delay in paperwork at Kiev Airport, but it left in the end and I'm sure the fans on it were glad.

Kiev was a questionable choice for the final and such has proved to be the case. Although Liverpool sold out their 16,000+ tickets Real Madrid returned 2,000 of theirs owing to the difficulty their fans encountered in obtaining accommodation and travel problems.

Liverpool tried to obtain these returned tickets for their own supporters but ran into difficulties because of segregation issues. You have to wonder how additional Liverpool fans would have got to Kiev anyway.

In future final tie venues will be subject to a bidding system with adequate airport and accommodation provision two of the criteria.

I know it has cost the fans a fortune to do the trip.

I always thought that was the case now. When Cardiff put in it's bid i thought it had to prove that the area had an adequate amount of hotels and airport space.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
