Likewise in Weston super mare thunder lightening and rain. The main looks to be over the welsh side of the Bristol channel.Whoes to know if it causes any problems to the airport.
They seem to be landing still although there was a schedued gap between 1946 and 2038 which coincided with the worst of the storm where I live.

Still looks like 09 from the small map I'm looking at. I did see a Ryanair about Exmoor turned round and gone towards France. I don't know where it was headed or a training flight from 1 of the europeon bases. Rather strange that one.

No diversions or cancellations shown at present for any airline. The last Ryanair aircraft to land were in the period 1922-2053 hours: Budapest, Warsaw Modlin, Malaga and Dublin. The next Ryanairs aren't due until the period 2335-2350 with three scheduled (Palma, Alicante and Faro).

The BMIR flights to Dusseldorf at 13.15 and the BMIR flight to Frankfurt at 16.30 are both cancelled today.
Is this a BMIR thing or is there problems in Germany

I can't find any mention of problems in Germany today.

An earlier BM FRA rotation is operating as are two MUC rotations and a HAM rotation. Ryanair's CGN and easyJet's SXF are also operating. I noticed a BM DUS rotation cancelled on Friday too. I wonder whether the Ryanair Cologne route is beginning to have an effect or whether it's simply BM doing what it's been doing for a long time - cancelling flights.

BRS website also showing easyJet EZY 6300 due 1245 from Gibraltar cancelled. The outbound EZY 6299 at 0645 is shown as 'departed'.

With a lot of comments on the arrival/departure boards on the website I'm at a point that I do not believe what is posted on them. With a plane departed to where ever how can the return be cancelled,it has to go some where unless its developed a tech fault down line then that would explain return cancelled. With that in mind airlines have a lot of aircraft with tech faults stuck down line. With the lack of imformation on the boards from the airport tells pax or ppl picking up nothing. And yet another bad mark for BRS on their boards.
To make a business more successful companies have to be truthfull about imformation and keep ppl up to date if there is any kind of problem. That goes for airlines as well.

GIB is prone to bad weather. It could be the aircraft diverted to somewhere like AGP where pax would be bussed but the aircraft wasn't held for the returning pax. There could be any number of reasons why it was cancelled.
Aviation has a tendency of throwing up any kind of unexpected issues. The website isn't perfect but I think in this case conclusions have been jumped to. If an error had been made when inputting information it would get corrected before the aircraft arrives. A lot of these airport systems pickup the aircraft location automatically at a certain point in its return journey and overrides manual input. Also it's ATC that input that the aircraft has landed and GIB is still showing cancelled after it's scheduled arrival time.

No flights from French airports or other destinations that over fly French air space cancelled yet,as main holiday season not that far away.

BRS website shows these cancellations for today - not clear whether any relate to French industrial action.

bmi regional BM1882 from Paris Cdg due 1015 cancelled, although outbound BM1881 scheduled departure 0700 is shown as 'departed'

bmi regional BM1831 to Hamburg at 1355 and return BM1832 at 1750 cancelled

easyJet EZY6246 from Funchal due 1510 cancelled, although outbound EZY6245 scheduled departure 0730 is shown as 'departed'

Funchal has been problematical in the past because of its fickle weather with FNC-bound sometimes having to land in the Canary Islands or elsewhere.

Friday 27 April 2018

bmi regional Hamburg rotation cancelled today.

Sunday 6 May 2018

bmi regional afternoon Brussels and evening Frankfurt rotations cancelled today.

The 2 sunday flights cancelled be any thing to do with a bank holiday weekend.
different comment.
I see many workers striking again this week in France. Possible disruption to travel expected.

Italy too will see industrial action on Tuesday which will doubtless affect some flights.

According to FR24 EZY Naples Olbia Pisa and Rome are all cancelled tomorrow.
Thanks for that. Apparently, according to Italian law, unike France, overflying flights and inter-continental flights must not be affected when it comes to industrial disputes, although so far as the UK is concerned I suspect that many more flights from here overfly France than overfly Italy.

Addendum

easyJet also flies to Venice tomorrow and Ryanair flies to Bergamo and Venice. Thus far the airport website is showing check-in for all flights to Italy tomorrow but that appears likely to change if FR24 is correct.

BRS website now showing (in the past couple of hours) easyjet flights to Naples, Pisa, Olbia, Rome and Venice cancelled and Ryanair flight to Bergamo cancelled. The Ryanair flight to Venice is still shown as 'bag drop opens 0405'.

If FR24 knew this morning that these flights were cancelled I can't understand why the BRS website has been showing them all day as 'bag drop opens' or 'check-in opens' giving the impression they would be operating.

Yet again the BRS departures/arrivals website shows itself to be something that cannot be relied upon. I've lost count of the times we've said this over the past couple of years.

No doubt we will be talking about it unless something changes. The airport is very go ahead doing things till it comes to news articles or the flight boards. Out of interest do the boards at the airport match what is shown online.

Industrial action air traffic controllers at Marseille on the 12th and 13t of may. Airlines been advised to cancel flights on these 2 days.
Back to normal with strikes as summer flight programmes in operation.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
