I have never been to the USA, but even so, I would think you are cutting it fine to say the least! What if your flights is delayed or stacked waiting to land? Even if your London flight uses the same terminal and you are interlining (so no need to collect luggage) it is still very tight. Leaving aside you getting off your aircraft and running to your London check in before it closes, your luggage has to be taken off the flight from Vegas, and transported through the 'system' and then loaded on to the London aircraft, and 40 minutes seems very short to me.

However, perhaps there is someone out there who can speak from experience on this? If it were me though, I would be ever so slightly worried!!

Re: connectin flight...

I have been through DFW many times and its simply huge. As you are arriving into DFW on an internal flight you will need to
transfer to the international terminal which is at the other side of the airport.

I would very much doubt that you will make the connection in 40 mins.

Did you book the flight or did a travel agent arrange for you?, if its the latter then you should take this up with them because its there job
to arrange connections with plenty of time, even accounting for short delays for inbounds.

Having looked at your flights, I would guess that your going via DFW because you are flying with AA. If you are and your arriving into DFW with AA and you miss your flight then they will have to re-book you.

If your arrving into DFW with another carrier and then leaving DFW with AA and you miss your flight then it will be up to you to make arrangements. to get to London

I hope this helps you and I wish you luck with your flights.

Re: connectin flight...

My aunt booked the flight for me as it is a family visit and was told by the aa rep that 40 mins would be fine to catch the connecting flight.

Should you miss your connection, interlining passengers are usually looked after pretty well. The handling agent of the airline will normally re-book you onto an alternative flight which would normally be on the same day where possible, sometimes re-routed via a different airport and/or with a different airline. I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
