Out of interest has Air France KLM increased the number of rotations to AMS in line with many of their other UK bases?

Yes

They are now 6 daily on CDG (BE do 3 rotations and AF do 3 rotations)
AMS is also 6 daily, all flights are on B737's to as opposed to F70/100 and E190's

KLM

I have seen a tweet advertising KLM routes - Interestingly, these include Tokyo, Rio and Johannesburg. All three are routes I would like to see open direct from MAN (Who may be trying to drive traffic to prove a point?)

I can vaguely remember Indonesia being on the routes hitlist, but not sure if I have it mixed up with the Philippines?

Additional Air France flight twice per week from CDG effective 26th March.

AF2000/AF2001 - Monday arrive 1150, depart 1235
AF2000/AF2001 - Friday arrive 0900, depart 0945

Flight numbers are not in line with the current sequence and therefore may change.

KLM is going to be renumbering their flights slightly. It's now going to be

nightstop/KL1070
KL1071/KL1072
KL1073/KL1074
KL1075/KL1076
KL1079/KL1080
KL1081/KL1082
KL1083/nightstop

Starting my journey back to the UK and Manchester a bit earlier than planned! Slightly disappointed that I won't get to fly on the 717 but now flying direct from Portland to Amsterdam and then to Manchester. At least I'm now on a 737 with KLM.

Enjoy the trip. Have a safe one.

Had the usual great flight with KLM to Manchester earlier today. Taxiing to the stand showed how much variety airlines wise MAN has.
Interestingly disembarking was by both jetbridge and steps, with steps at the back door which helped speed things up. Immigration took about 15 minutes but I was surprised by how small the hall was. Maybe Terminal 3 has a few more like it?
Unfortunately my luggage didn't make it which seems to be a regular occurrence with me! Apart from that it was a very good flight and a decent arrivals experience.

I endorse Aviador's comments re the pictures.

I used to use KLM to or via AMS a lot in the 1990s and early 'noughties' and in those days the airport had a reputation for misplacing luggage. On three separate occasions we made it back to the UK but our luggage didn't, albeit it eventually turned up each time.

I don't think my change of itinerary helped. It seems that my luggage will arrive on the flight I was originally scheduled on the 19.00 arrival. To be fair to them they will deliver it to me rather than me having to go back to MAN.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
