I know user has mentioned Goa increasing further up this thread:
it will operate every Friday between November and end of April with 788 equipment and then bi-weekly on Thursdays between November and March.

The Phuket flights have also changed schedule, having a morning departure, rather than an evening:
TOM 136 MAN 1045 HKT 0515 +1 788
TOM 137 HKT 0715 MAN 1315 788

More Aqaba (AQJ) flights at Easter. Boeing 767-300ER (76W) this time:
Tue 07:20 Manchester (MAN) 2 13:55 Aqaba (AQJ)
Thomson TOM 236 Non-stop Boeing 767-300 (763) 5:35 Operates only on 2017-03-28
This is a Charter flight.
Tue 07:20 Manchester (MAN) 2 13:55 Aqaba (AQJ)
Thomson TOM 236 Non-stop Boeing 767-300 (763) 4:35 Effective from 2017-04-04
This is a Charter flight.

Makes you wonder what the possibility of a regular Jordan service is.

Extra Norwegian flight to Malaga on behalf of Thomson.

D89160 AGP 0800 MAN 1000
D89161 MAN 1120 AGP 1520
Friday's

Makes Norwegian 5 weekly to AGP overall although this flight will not be bookable on Norwegian website

Is this a completely new service? Welcome increase in TATL.

TOM SFB-MAN NOV 0>0.4 DEC 0>0.4

I think that filing gets added every year in that OAG report, but never happens. Certainly not bookable, nor were the previous years when it showed also.

Can I respectfully point out that this format ( 0 > 0.4 ) is nonsensical to many readers here. Perhaps we should stick with old favourites such as four flights per week, 4 fpw, or even 4/7. And an increase / decrease in frequency is best described in absolute terms, such as MAN-XXX increases by two flights per week to five. Thanks.

Afraid I don't have the answer to this on a "flights per week" basis. It's ripped from dark blue dot net from a poster who I think takes the data from OAG.

This is calculated over a monthly period, so this is something like 3 flights per week on average.

As pointed out, the format is out of the control of anyone here as it's the format given by the person who originally posted it on a.net.

All people are doing is copying and pasting for accuracy, so, it's nothing to do with them.

Word on the street is that Thomson will introduce St Lucia, Samos, Ajjacio and Kalamata next summer from Manchester.

Out of those, I believe St Lucia is the interesting one. Would have thought Virgin may have considered reintroducing it as the loads they had previously were better suited to A330s than 747s

Well, if Thomson do introduce St Lucia, then It means with Thomson in summer and Thomas Cook in winter, we will have a year round service.

I would love further connectivity to St Lucia and making it a year-round link. AJA, KLX and SMI are also great European adds; I believe AJA and SMI are currently unserved from MAN? The only TOM destinations unserved from MAN are Ajaccia, Phu Quoc, Liberia (Costa Rica), Colombo, Samos, Murcia, Nice, Jerez, Kalamata, St Lucia and Brindisi.

If AJA, SMI, MJV and UVF could be ticked off that list, the only destinations on TOM's network not served from MAN would be CMB, LIR, XRY, BDS and Phu Quoc. Jerez, Colombo and Costa Rica are great options that would allow them to be more adventurous in the future at Manchester,

TTG Media are reporting that Varna will be added for summer 2018 at 2x weekly.

Can't find any new routes on their website so far.

It would certainly be disappointing if that was it, considering they would be serving no currently unserved destinations.

From what I can work out for Thomson 2018:

Long haul

Montego Bay: Tue, Sat
Aruba: cut
Puerto Vallarta: Thu
Punta Cana: Mon, Fri
Puerto Plata: Wed
Cancun: daily ex-Sat
Orlando: Tue, Sat, Sun
Santa Clara: Cut

So just 2.5 B787 needed, and real shame to see Aruba and Santa Clara go (at least the latter will still be served by TCX, to which TCX has Cuba sewn up from MAN with SNU/CCC/HOG/VRA)

Short haul to follow.

I am not pleased at all, with this from Thomson - Aruba going is a massive loss, and I can only hope TCX will pick it up.

Thomson or TUI as they'll be by then, seem to have reduced at some bases so maybe we should be glad MAN seems relatively unscathed.

Speaking of Cuba, would be nice to see Havana flown. Many resort holidays have an option of a short stay in Havana bolted on to the end which may be appealing to many.

Im going to leave the short haul update for a short while, as I think there are changes due.

Varna is still not bookable.
the timetable shows Palma has 3 flights on Sat/Tue, but 6 flights are actually bookable (Palma on Saturday from Manchester is bonkers but that's for another thread).
Malaga looks to go down from 5 weekly to 2 weekly, and with the popularity of the Malaga coast ex MAN, I find that hard to believe.

Therefore, when the timetable settles down, I'll try and account for short haul.

I'm also wondering if Aruba will be added back in as I was lead to believe it was always a strong route from MAN , and was told, rightly or wrongly, it was one of the highest yielding routes ex-MAN for Thomson.

I'm sure the picture will become clear soon.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
