It may be a cruise and stay option, as there are Kuala Lumpur hotels loaded into the holidays pages, but you cannot book them yet.

Step in the right direction, even if it has shades of TCX' flights to CPT about it. If it leads to the resumption of a scheduled like to KUL it's a good stepping stone.

Well, the cruise pages have opened up a whole world of one off flights!

It seems there will be flights to Aquba, Cochin, Muscat and Dubai amongst others for cruise flights.

The flights to Langkwai were also there, as well as some to Bangkok.

Weren't the holiday company's going to team up with airlines to offer packages?

For example, TUi would offer a Dubai holiday via Emirates rather than using its own airline?

Aside from the irregular flights, Bangkok and Langkwai are regular flights from Dec 18

I'm gutted the Far East cruises are adult only. The itinary that takes in Cambodia looks amazing. I'd genuinely be booking it tonight if they allowed under 16's on the cruise

So much for 'we won't go back to Tunisia' ....

"So far, it is only a small selection of hotels in Hammamet and Yasmine, Hammamet listed on the Tui website as available for 2018.

The programme is starting with four flights per week into Enfidha from Bristol, Manchester, Gatwick and Birmingham.

The flights will operate from May 1, 2018 "in response to customer demand".

A spokesperson said: "We follow the FCO advice for all destinations we operate to as well as referencing the FCO Travel Aware campaign across our website, customer documentation and in our stores and encourage everyone to check the FCO website regularly for the latest travel information."

The UK Foreign Office amended its travel advice for Tunisia in July last year, enabling holidaymakers to travel to most of the country, including the capital Tunis and Sousse.

A month later, Thomas Cook became the first major UK operator to put Tunisia back on sale with flights returning to the destination due to depart on February 13.

In February of last year a corner overseeing the inquests into the Sousse massacre rejected calls from some relatives of the 30 British victims to rule that neglect by Tui or the owners of the Riu Imperial Marhaba Hotel in the resort had played a part in their deaths at the hands of gunman Seifeddine Rezgui.

Relatives of holidaymakers killed confirmed they planned to sue Tui at the conclusion of the inquest held at the Royal Courts of Justice in London"

I personally think competition in Spain is a little to hot for TUI/TCX which is why they've re-adressed their portfolio and gone to Turkey & Tunisia. I would expect alto more in 2019 in terms of Tunisia. Good thing for Tunisia i guess.

The Summer 2019 schedule was posted by @Jerry Here's the press release from around three weeks ago to go with it.

TUI launches Summer 2019 programme from Manchester Airport
  • Additional aircraft based at Manchester Airport
  • Increase of more than 110,000 seats
  • More flights added to popular destinations – Montenegro, Zante, Antalya, Dalaman, Hurghada and Cancun
26 March 2018 – TUI UK’s first programme launch after last year’s re-brand reveals ambitious growth plans with an additional aircraft positioned out of Manchester Airport, more 10 and 11 night holidays and extra flights to popular routes Montenegro, Zante, Turkey, Egypt and Mexico.

Recognising that not everyone wants to holiday for 7 or 14 nights and thanks to an additional aircraft based in Manchester, customers can find more 10 and 11 night stays, including to Montenegro which was a new destination for TUI launched for summer 2018. Customers flying from Manchester Airport will see an increase of more than 110,000 seats offering holidaymakers more choice and flexibility than ever before.

With a dynamic regional aviation plan focussed on mid and short haul destinations, new holiday opportunities will be opened up for passengers flying from Manchester Airport with new flights and holidays going on sale. There will be more flights from Manchester Airport to Zante in Greece, Antalya and Dalaman in Turkey, as well as Hurghada in Egypt and Cancun in Mexico. An additional Naples flight has also been added to support the new homeport for Marella Explorer 2, the new ship from the Marella Cruises programme.

TUI UK’s Commercial Director Richard Sofer said: “Summer 2019 is the most ambitious programme we have ever introduced. We are focusing firmly on expanding access to our amazing range of holidays through an extended regional flying programming concentrated on the core destinations holidaymakers want to travel to, while offering the flexibility of holiday duration they want.

“We’ve increased our capacity by basing an additional aircraft in Manchester, adding more than 110,000 additional seats with new and additional flights for summer 2019. We are giving customers even more opportunity when booking their summer holidays with more 10 and 11 night holidays and additional flying days to popular destinations.”

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
