Bloody idiots! No matter how much I've wanted or tempted to go to Cardiff airport to photo and film the BA aircraft there I've not done it because I know it's irresponsible to do so and seeing people just disregard the lockdown to do that really annoys me!

747 436 landed from CWL today which makes 5 parked. The 1 today looks like its going to be converted for cargo. 3 of the other BA aircraft they have had another eoropeon airline want them for spares. There is more 747 aircraft due to fly into Kemble in the next few weeks. Lets hope they get the cargo conversion as well rather than parted out.

There are a few Bobs worth of 747s there awaiting their fate. I wonder what their worth will be once they have been dealt with at Kemble? Only flew twice on a 747 (US and back with Virgin many moons ago). Lovely plane but still prefer the DC10 though.

Flew many times on the 747 from and to the states. BA from GTW to Orlando and the return was LHR,flew Virgin to and from LHR to LAX that flight was over 3 hours late in departure and we landed in LAX just over an hour late so i recon he cut a few corners some where. The cabin crew service on BA and Virgin was second to none, they could not do enough for us pax.A true icon of a plane and will be sorely missed at many airports it flew to around the world.

It looks like G CIVB will be put into storage and used as a visitor attraction. She has the negus livery. I see KLM has grounded their fleet of B747 as well and the pictures of Kemble air field that there is a couple of KLM 747 parked. dont know if they are to be parted out there or just there for storage till KLM decide what to do with them.

KLM retired all 747 passenger aircraft at the start of the virus however they put at least one back in use working as a freighter quite quickly.

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.

Thanks for the support @SNOWMAN
Well over 4 million steps taken this year already. And about 12,500 photos.
The joys of travel. Train from Edinburgh to Leeds is cancelled so having another night in Edinburgh and heading back in the morning!
Tbf Edinburgh isn't a bad city to be stuck in.
A week off work done which resulted in 6 day trips , 50 miles walked and only 2500 photos, Going to work is more of a holiday as I tended to be out of my flat an hour earlies in my week off and back for after 8pm
