Re: Austrian Arrows

Today`s OS service, came in with 77 passengers onboard with only 72 going out to INN. Is demand still there bearing in mind its only weekly saturday afternoon service?

It had a 97% load factor in July, and bearing in mind this year capacity has been doubled on the route, I would say its performance has been encouraging.

Re: Austrian Arrows

Austrian Arrows will again be operating it's weekly ski flight from Leeds/Bradford to Innsbruck this winter. The route will be operated by a Boeing 737 aircraft instead of the usual F70 or F100.

The airline operates a mixed fleet of Boeing 737- 600,700 and the 800 series.

Re: Austrian Arrows

Great news! Will be nice to see their 737s on the deck at LBA! When do they start their operations?

Saw it land and it looked very nice. Always good to see a new airline coming in, especially a national carrier. I was surprised it was an 800WL similar to Ryanair's - they must have good bookings this winter?

Austrian will return for winter 13/14 with a Saturday flight to Innsbruck for Inghams

It’s great news to hear that the direct Leeds - Innsbruck ski route is coming back again for next winter 2013/14 season. I was hoping that either Monarch or Jet2 might have picked up the route on a schedule basis by now. But it would seem that Inghams must have had a rethink or seen a gap to be filled and decided to bring the charter service back themselves using Austrian Airlines again.

Flights operate every Saturday commencing from December 21st, 2013 running until April 5th 2014.

Timetable
AUA9367 = INN 08:05 LBA 09:10
AUA9368 = LBA 11:25 INN 14:30

What Aircraft are they going to use?

I think they would most likely re-start the Innsbruck route using Tyrolean Airways (Austrian Arrows) fleet off Fokker 70 or maybe Fokker 100's. But saying that before the route was dropped 2 years ago I think if I remember correctly they were using the mainline Austrian Airlines, Boeing 737-800WL's.

I can remember before that Lauda operated for them using the B738. But at innsbruck it says the austrian airlines are operated by Tyrolean Airways which is still Austrian Airlines.

Is this info all correct?

Only reason I ask, is that OS9367/9368 has been a 2nd flight operating into MAN this winter, and the inghams site and GDS clearly has that flight number operating into MAN again as the following:

OS9367 INN 0715 MAN 1110
OS9368 MAN 1110 INN 1430

A321 every Saturday from Nov 10th to March 9th.

Info also referenced against Inghams site at 16:54 on Wednesday 6th Feb.

Yep I've just re-checked the Inghams Holidays website and it shows the flight No's and details as posted above = AUA9367 INN 08:05 LBA 09:10 / AUA9368 LBA 11:25 INN 14:30. Hope that helps.

Well, something will likely change then, as there is definitely something wrong somewhere.

You cannot have 2 flight numbers operating at the same time to the different destinations.

Whatever the flight numbers might be, LBA have formally announced the return of the flight to Innsbruck with Inghams today on Facebook and their web site - Saturday flights, December to April.

I wasn't saying the flight hadn't returned, I was simply pointing out that the details may change as there is currently a duplication in the system.

I know you didn't say the flight hadn't returned, I didn't say you had? I was just pointing out that whatever the flight numbers might end up being, LBA had now confirmed it was a flight that was coming back - as previously, the airport itself had not announced anything. Sorry if that wasn't clear. LBAspotter was referring to the Inghams website earlier, and we all know how tour operator websites can change overnight. The airport itself announcing it formally suggests it is a definite, provided the bookings hold up. Ski flights have sold well this year so I would assume that is why they have re-introduced the route after a couple of winters off.

As predicted Ingham's have altered the Austrian Airlines winter 2013/14 Innsbruck charter flight numbers and rescheduled times by the looks of things. The service will continue to be operated on a Saturday morning but as follows.

AUA2587 = INN 07:50 LBA 08:55
AUA2588 = LBA 10:25 INN 13:30

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
