Congratulations to Exeter chiefs for winning the European champions cup. They have done well over the last few years.
Incredibly well because until they got out of the Championship in 2010 they had never really been a front rank English club side. It was expected that the relegated Prem side from the previous season would go straight back up as has been the case nearly every season since. Bristol were the relegated side that season and although they finished top of the Championship regular league season they lost out to Exeter in the play-off final.

Not only did Exeter stay in the Prem but they prospered to become one of the most successful Prem sides of the past decade. Much credit is due to Rob Baxter, a former Exeter player and captain, who was appointed head coach in 2009 and remains with the club as director of rugby.

There is no reason why Exeter Chiefs won't continue their success in the Premiership and Europe in the coming seasons.

Many congratulations to Exeter Chiefs on winning the English Premiership rugby title by beating Wasps 19-13 in the play-off final this evening. Exeter finished top of the regular season league table and richly deserve to win the Premiership title.

This comes just a week after they won the European Rugby Champions Cup.

An incredible season for the Chiefs and it's such a shame that their supporters could not be at the matches in person to share the triumph.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
