I would imagine that they would be wanting to fly the sun routes, picking up TC business and a surge in bookings. (assuming travel restrictions are lifted)

It would be an interesting move with the big two loco's having such large bases, not so good news for Birmingham and Liverpool on the Wizz front

I can see Pier B now lit up by pink and orange A/C next summer...I just hope T2X is open by then...

Remember that everything in the ACL report is, in some ways, a 'wish list'. Every year the airlines apply for slots at multiple airports to see, and therefore be able to plan, what schedules they may be able operate to their maximum profitability.
The fact Wizz, after many rumoured years, has finally applied for slots at Manchester, however they only have 74% of their slots at or within 10 minutes - and 10% are over an hour outside of the original requested time.
Let's see what happens??

Re slots, much may depend on how long a vast reservoir of slots remains ringfenced for the new owners of the FlyBe brand. Over 600 slots per week at MAN, many of these at peak times. Even if a revived operation does emerge, we can expect it to be a shadow of FlyBe 1.0 in scale. The sooner these surplus slots are back in the allocation pool the better.

Any opinions on if MAN will ever see Wizz?
So they’re off to Leeds…good luck with the schedule in the winter with their weather and runway!

I’m sure Wizz will be fine at Leeds during the winter and even if they did divert I don’t see them going to Manchester. Either LPL or BHX

With the question on if they might do MAN flights personally I can’t see it happening with them flying out of Liverpool and now with LBA being added. Ryanair serve the polish routes well from Manchester along with EZY and Jet2.

Wizz have the North covered with LPL & LBA, so far as Eastern Europe I would say little chance for MAN.
They did apply for a 4 unit base at MAN a couple of years ago (as they did at BHX too) which came to nothing from either airport. I guess a base opens up other routes apart from Eastern Europe so who knows if Wizz will open up addition UK bases to CWL, LGW & LTN ?

What's the A321 performance like compared to the 757? The Jet2 757s did end up diverting quite a lot of the time from LBA.

As for the general Wizz in to MAN, i can't see them starting for at least 3 to 5 years by which time there should be a lot more of the TP completed which would then see a bit more of terminal swapping for some airlines as i cannot envisage them wanting to be part of a T2 operation

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
