Were the 2 a330's close enough to get a pic together jerry ?
I wasn't there today I'm back in work but from the photos I've seen on Facebook the Corsair was on stand 6 and the XL on stand 7 so there might be photos of them together maybe on SWAGs Facebook page or Aviation Wales Cardiff Airport.

So far today most of the flights are operating though delayed and it looks like Flybe brought in an extra Q400 which may be from Southampton and operating Dublin in reverse. They have cancelled both the Milan flight and the Munich flight for today.
Also due to the snow the 06.00 Bridgetown arrival diverted to Manchester.

TOM6707 from Lanzarote also diverted to East Midlands in the early hours.

I don't know if the service to RAF valley will operate to valley today or get diverted to another air field. This is due to a red arrows aircraft crash. The pilot ejected and taken to hospital with injuries, the engineer that was also in the jet lost his life. My thoughts and all on these forums are very much with the families of the pilot and engineer

According to SWAG CWL received 2 diversions from BRS earlier today. BMI E145 G-CKAG diverted in from Brussels at 09.42 and Easyjet A319 OE-LKM diverted in from Faro.

Interesting that BM diverted in. They usually divert to EXT from BRS. In terms of getting passengers back to BRS by coach, AA shows EXT-BRS as 68.8 miles and CWL-BRS as 60.7 miles, although the latter has to cope with going through or around the edge of Bristol.

Both aircraft (BM earlier in the morning at easyJet at lunchtime) might have been unlucky as everything else managed to land at Lulsgate. The non-Cat IIIB 09 seemed to be the active runway again today. The area seems to be getting n/easterly-easterly-s/easterly winds day after day at the moment with mist/mizzle/drizzle not helping.

Flybe Leeds Bradford to Newquay flight BE753 G-JEDP Q400 diverted in due to a medical emergency at 14.58 the aircraft departed to Newquay at 15.58. Credit to SWAG for the info.

Strikes in France for 2 days today and tomorrow. Will affect rail and flights. Here we go again as its getting close to main holiday season.

According to FR24 the 07.00 and it's corresponding arrival from Dublin was cancelled this morning. Possibly a tech aircraft as we seem to have 2 E175s operating.
According to SWAG an E175 was flown in from BHX and landed at 10.22. Looks like it then operated the 10.05 departure to Milan an hour late.

This mornings 09.30 KLM AMS arrival and the corresponding 10.00 departure was cancelled probably because of the check in machines going down at Schipol this morning.
CWL also had an Atlantic Airways A319 OY-RCG for a charter it departed back to the Faroe Islands at 20.55.

So far today it doesn't look like there has been any cancellations but there has been a lot of flights with substantial delays of between an hour and 2 hours on mostly Vueling and TUI flights from Spain.

Lots of cancelled flights from BRS mainly Easyjet and Ryanair with delays on various others.

Looks like you spoke to soon Jerry. Unfortunately VY to ALC has been cancelled. The inbound landed, albeit late. Although it looks like they just couldn't get it back out with all the ATC restrictions.

VY have rescheduled the flight to depart at 5:30am tomorrow morning, according to CWL's website. VY have always been pretty good at CWL at rescheduling or flying new aircraft to CWL to pick up pax if a plane goes tech. They rarely leave pax stranded (well from CWL anyway)

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
