The Vueling Malaga flight is now delayed with it due to arrive at 19.10 but now estimated at 22.35.

The departure time for Alicante is now 23.40 and for Malaga it's now 23.05.

I make that over 10 hours late and over three hours late respectively. Is that about right? Full marks for still operating the flights, especially ALC. Some airlines would have merely cancelled them.

Yeah that sounds about right. Vueling don't seem on the whole to cancel flights to Cardiff and if they do they tend to either operate them the next day or send in a bigger aircraft.

This evenings KL1064 KLM departure to Amsterdam has been cancelled but it's corresponding arrival flight KL1063 did operate. KL1069 the 21.30 arrival has also been cancelled.

Big delay on the 12.10 Alicante arrival with Vueling again. It landed at 21.44 and i'd imagine will be departed by 22.30.

Does anybody know why Saturday's Flybe FAO was re-sched or delayed until late afternoon on Saturday ? It was a near 24hr delay published quite early. T3 are possibly doing a good job of destroying the NCL route due reliability - canx'd again this morning.......

I think Eastern may have just scrapped the morning rotation for August as it seems to be an everyday occurrence.

If you have a look at Eastern's booking page (now via Flybe) there do seem to be some reductions in schedule for the rest of August

There are no flights on Wednesdays and one on Fridays - the afternoon/early evening rotation (that might be the normal schedule for Fridays, I don't know).

Next week there are no flights on Sun or Mon (bank holiday) either.

From the first week in September the schedule seems to be 2 x daily Mon-Thurs, 1 x daily (afternoon/early evening) Sun and 1 x daily Fri (afternoon/early evening).

That is normal for Fridays. The route is usually 10 weekly with no flights on Saturdays and 2 daily Monday to Thursday and 1 daily Friday and Sunday.

Looks like this morning Cardiff has had a British Airways long haul diversion. 777 200er G-VIIT operating Tampa to Gatwick has landed at CWL about 7.45. Reason unknown. The airports website says Orlando even though Fr24 says Tampa.

The BA diversion yesterday was a medical diversion. The crew subsequently ran out of hours and a replacement crew was sent from Heathrow. The passengers were off loaded at Cardiff. One of them apparently was Peter Andre and his kids. I'm assuming BA bussed the passengers to Gatwick.

Someone posted on social media a passenger died onboard.

If this is the case this is terrible, but If they passed away why did they not just continue to Gatwick?

Maybe if that is the case they passed after landing or in process of diverting to CWL - sad if true....

Yes that's what i was told. Idk the circumtances but it's possible the pax passed away after landing or during it. Either way the decision would've been made to land so i guess they were committed to that decision.

My condolences to the family.

We were sat in row 31. The lady was in row 30. I can’t confirm she passed away, but the situation went on long enough that it seems likely.
Peter Andre was a couple of rows in front of us.”

According to FR24 this mornings 09.25 KLM arrival from Amsterdam has been cancelled along with the return at 09.55.
