EJU8512 LIS-LGW has diverted to CWL

ATA09:40L

Reason; LGW runway closure (according to the EasyJet app - albeit everything else but a VY FCO has landed)

Fog at CWL this morning:

- BGH finally landed after holding
- BT diverted to LGW (not sure how they plan to get the Wales football team to RIX)

Also the Maleth A330 is en route with STA11:25

So the BT came back to CWL at 13:12 from LGW

Yet still it hasn’t left…

Anyone know what’s happening? :sneaky:

The Maleth has just departed (9H-CFS)

Aer Lingus FLT EIN 7T9,from Bilbao to Dublin,, diverted into CWL at 5.32pm, with medical emergency, and was met at CWL by Wales Air Ambulance.

Sorry Jerry we must have been typing the entry at the same time.

KLM have cancelled all flights to and from Cardiff today and tomorrow's 6am departure.

Flight EZY42MQ Lyon to Gatwick A321 diverted into CWL at 10.42 am, reason not known., but FR24 shown it has having circulated over southern England prior to diverting into CWL.

CWL have taken the decision to close their runway between 03:00 and 11:00 tomorrow due to the imminent arrival of Storm Darragh.

Seems the most unfortunate timing on the very day there was due to be 2 Lapland charters.

Hopefully the Lapland flights will be just delayed by 24 hours.

There were two charters showing earlier from Bristol, but they’ve since been moved to Birmingham. At least that’s what FR24 suggests.

The Cardiff Airport website shows Enontekio and Ivalo as cancelled along with the Belfast and the morning Amsterdam. TUI Alicante flight is showing as 15:00 so I expect Las Palmas will either be cancelled unless they bring in another aircraft.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
