The Flybe 07.45 departure and the 10.30 arrival for London City was cancelled this morning guessing it was weather related.
The KLM 09.30 arrival and 10.00 departure for Amsterdam was also cancelled due to weather. I believe the 16.45 arrival was upgraded to an E190.

What sort of aircraft was Flybe using for this trip? A leased one? Over 150 passengers??!

Nope G-FBEK one of the based E 195s, the Dash 8 G-PRPA is doing the CDG flight now as BHD is coming up as delayed till 16.00. It's just lazy and poor journalism. A few simple checks and they would've found out the aircraft and the amount of passengers it can carry.

I've been commenting on the deteriorating standard of journalism this morning when posting in a couple of other threads. Recently, the Bristol Post reported that a TUI B757 that made an en-route landing at BRS because of rowdy passengers was carrying over 300 passengers.

Looking at FR24 and it looks like today's Flybe CDG flight was cancelled along with Vueling's PMI flight due to the French ATC strikes while Vuelings AGP flight had a big delay and TUI's TFS flight is also currently delayed.

Emergency landing at 21.06 with fumes in the cockpit Aer Lingus Amsterdam to Cork A320 EI-DEM, aircraft stopped on the runway for assessment then taxied to stand 12.

Credit to South Wales Aviation group for the info.

Worth commenting that a Full Emergency was also declared on ATC. Mayday also declared.

Emergency services from the local area were also told to be at the airport for thr arrival of the aircraft as per any Mayday call.

One of the first full emergencies or Mayday’s in a while at CWL ?

There was the Flybe birdstrike but i'm not sure if a Mayday was called on that. Apart from thankfully i don't think there has been one for quite a while.

It went for an oil change in BRS (Southside, where the Eastern Embraers are based for the Airbus shuttles)

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
