Eastern Airways NCL 18.30 arrival and 18.55 departure has been cancelled. Wondering if they are having aircraft problems or just not enough pax for the routes?
what type of plane did the inbound. if it was e145 perhaps that was planned and take plane over to brs for Mondays work.might be just a tech aircrafts.

Jetstream 41 and I think its usually done by a Jetstream. Don't think they use e145 on the NCL. I do wonder because of the high prices of the route they just didn't have the pax for the plane for a Sunday flight. It's nearly 3 times as expensive as the BRS-NCL route.
They cancelled last Sundays flight as well.

right. I just wondered if it was down to operate one way only, with a e145 then position over to brs. I think you might be right with low pax loads. somebody somewhere will know and perhaps enlighten us.

I'll be looking now to see if they cancel the flight next Sunday!

Big delay this morning for the return of the LCY flight scheduled to depart at 08.00 but departed at 11.08 and returned at 13.02 this was due to big problems with fog at LCY.

Thursday 1 December 2016

CWL has been affected by fog for much of the day leading to diversions and cancellations.

Looking at the CWL website and FR24 it appears that Flybe cancelled flights to Dublin, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London City with Flybe also diverting flights from Munich and Faro to Birmingham.

Citywing cancelled its Anglesey rotations and Thomson diverted its Lanzarote flight to Birmingham.

Eastern either cancelled its evening Newcastle flight or diverted it to Bristol - it's not clear which.

KLM Cityhopper diverted two of its three Amsterdam flights to Bristol, although the evening flight has just landed.

The CWL departures page for tomorrow morning is showing Flybe flights to Dublin, London City and Milan Malpensa cancelled, presumably because aircraft are out of place.

Quite a few diversions today as the fog has been bad today!
KL1059 AMS-CWL diverted to BRS
V9933 VLY-CWL diverted to GLO
BE4531 FAO-CWL diverted to BHX
KL1063 AMS-CWL diverted to BRS
BE4556 MUC-CWL diverted to BHX
T34095 NCL-CWL diverted to BRS
TOM6429 ACE-CWL diverted to BHX

The LCY return was cancelled along with the evening Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Dublin, Newcastle and Glasgow though KL1069 AMS-CWL was able to land on 12 at 21.58.

The Flybe planes all diverted to BHX and i'm guessing they will have to wait for the crew to have there time off.

Thanks superking. Yes, a great trip again but a month passes all too soon. The EK MEL-DXB sector was interesting. Almost continuous turbulence for nine hours of the thirteen and a half hour flight; some of it significant with the cabin crew belted in at times. Even a 380 is not immune from Mother Nature's tantrums.

Tuesday 6 December 2016

According to FR 24 the morning KLM Cityhopper from Amsterdam diverted to Exeter and Vueling from Alicante diverted to Liverpool. The morning Flybe London City rotation was cancelled.

Presumably fog related. Can anyone conform these movements because FR24 isn't always reliable on such things.

Many thanks, Jerry.

For an unknown reason the KLM nightstopper was cancelled last night. So there was no 6 am departure this morning.

Flybe morning LCY flight was cancelled due to fog at LCY. Also a BA 777 200 flying Nassau-Heathrow BAW252 was diverted into CWL due to fog at Heathrow it landed at 11.55.

looking at the weather just now for next week there could be problems more or less every where. the reason being fog and dense and lots of it for about 3 days.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
