Wizz Air, the leading low-cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe have today announced another new service to be added to their growing network from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) with flights to the Italian capital of Rome set to commence this Summer.

Three times weekly flights are due to start on 1st July 2021 in time for the peak Summer season departing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and sees the return of flights to the Italian capital for the first time in over 2 years.

This is the third new route from Liverpool to be announced in the past three weeks and adds to Wizz Air’s growing network by becoming their 13th route from LJLA.

Paul Winfield, Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s Director of Aviation Development commented, “The region’s travellers have been largely grounded for most of the past 14 months, but we believe that the demand for international travel remains strong, which is why we have continued to work closely with our airline partners to offer passengers from across the region a great choice of destinations to choose from over the coming weeks and months, once international travel restrictions are lifted next week.

We are delighted to see Wizz Air continue to develop their business from Liverpool, creating more opportunities for passengers from across the North West and North Wales to travel to a growing number of European destinations direct from Liverpool.”

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
