The 747 200’s were all named after U.K. cities, I flew on Birmingham and Peterborough to/from Orlando and I think Leicester to Newark. I think the DC10s were named after forests and the Caledonian Tristars after Scottish lochs but I might be wrong.Did not BA name their aircraft after rivers?, Trent, Severn etc.!
The BA 757 that was based at BHX was renamed Sir Simon Rattle and I believe the 737s might have been Greek/Roman gods - I flew one one called Hippolyta?
