EMIRATES 380 Pilot Picture Request 20/10/21 EK017

Good afternoon everyone,

If anyone is at Manchester airport on the 20/10/21 I'd really appreciate someone snapping my attempt to land the 380. I'm arriving at 1200 local time and the flight number is EK017.

I’m going to MAN airport on the 24/10/21 which is next Sunday. If I was there on Wednesday then I would of been happy to take photos.

Apologies. If it helps there’s many photographers on twitter who seem to be at Manchester a lot maybe they could be of assistance.

The weather forecast for Wednesday at 12:00 currently indicates heavy rain and 8/8 cloud cover. Not ideal if borne out! But it looks like a 23R wind, so I'll do my best for you. Probably no classic, but I should get something. Just try to be below the cloud base by one mile out!!!

Standard MAN weather then haha, hopefully there will be a gap for the mega bus to be snapped. At least it means I have all the excuses for the landing now

Just put the wet weather tyres on and you'll be fine!

Or can you attach floats to an A380?

Yes it is a great community and we are very lucky in Manchester to have some great spotting locations and so many enthusiasts.

Was it your first time landing at Manchester? With the famous hump on 23R?
Next time hopefully the weather will be on our side for some touchdown shots.

Luckily it wasn’t my first time but it was my first time in over a year to come back after being recalled.

The weather today is perfect annoyingly, maybe someone will get a snap of us departing instead

Stood in my garden around 1546 to watch gingersam86 overfly my house, on his way home. Glistening in the sunshine!

Very unusual routing for EK18 but more than happy to add to my log.
