Foodies listen up; we’ve got some tasty news to share. Our airport Food Court has just been transformed into a sizzling go-to dining destination, with four new eateries joining Burger King and KFC on Level -1. Keep reading to find out more about our newest arrivals, and don’t forget that you get 1 hour of free parking when eating at the Food Court.

🌮 AVOTACO

Avotaco is all about serving up Mexican cuisine favourites, which are packed with both flavour and colour. While Avotaco’s menu covers everything from burritos to quesadillas, it is well and truly taco heaven, spanning beef, pork, chicken and more! Beyond the basics, the eatery also offers some unique Mexican-style sides, from avocado fries to handmade empanadas and traditional elotes. Each Avotaco dish is made using fresh, high-quality ingredients and the eatery’s menu offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, catering for contemporary diets and intolerances.

Our suggestion: Go for Avotaco’s trio of tacos; from a filling of shredded pork cooked in flavoursome chipotle sauce and succulent king prawns dripping in a chilli, garlic, and tomato sauce, to a vegan-friendly soy filling, this menu option will allow you to savour many tastes in one sitting.

🕒Monday – Sunday; 11:00 – 23:30

🥖 BANH MI

Banh Mi has brought the best and most authentic Vietnamese flavours to our airport Food Court. Banh Mi’s menu is bursting with Asian-inspired dishes which are sure to get your taste buds tingling, from their piping hot soups and hearty curries to their delicious Mi Xao noodles and hand-made bao buns. Daily specials ensure that the menu is kept fresh and exciting, allowing frequent visitors to try something new every day of the week! The Banh Mi food stall on Level -1 also offers vegetarian, vegan friendly and gluten free meal options, which are prepared fresh every day.

Our suggestion: You can’t go to Banh Mi and not taste the Banh Mi baguette rolls it’s named after… but do not expect an ordinary sandwich. A Banh Mi baguette is a meal in itself, filled with generous portions of chicken, pork, duck, or mixed vegetables and drenched in Banh Mi’s divine house sauce.

🕒Monday – Sunday; 11:00 – 22:00

🍜 DR JUICE NATURAL GOOD FOOD

Dr Juice Natural Good Food’s nourishing meals and snacks are ideal to power up your day. While the Dr. Juice stall inside our Check-In Hall offers juices, fruity smoothies, and liquid meals, you can choose from a variety of wraps and toasties, fresh salads, noodle bowls and tasty brunch options at the Dr. Juice Natural Good Food stall inside our Food Court. Suitable for all diets, Dr. Juice’s varied menu includes options for vegetarians, vegans and anyone looking for a low GI, carb-free or gluten-free meal.

Our suggestion: Looking for a different brunch option? Dr Juice Natural Good Food’s homemade pancakes are rich in beneficial nutrients arising from matcha and the superfood duo avocado and spinach. Grilled halloumi, maple bacon and sriracha mayo bring flavours and textures that pack a punch, and a perfectly poached egg tops off this signature breakfast with added goodness.

🕒Monday – Sunday; 10:00 – 23:00

🍕 SOTTO PINSA ROMANA

The pinsa Romana has found its way to our islands and landed right here at our airport’s Food Court! While this authentic Roman-style pizza is prepared with simple and fresh ingredients, its thin crust, oval shape and innovative topping combinations, ranging from eggplant and ricotta to parma ham and truffle sauce, make it anything but a typical pizza. And what’s an Italian meal without dessert? If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you don’t want to miss out on Sotto’s classic, creamy tiramisu.

Our suggestion: As great as the classic pinsas may taste, Sotto’s signature pinsas are and shouldn’t be missed. Say ciao bella to Luisa ; a pizza which is topped with fior di latte, rocket, parma ham and truffle sauce, and you’ll understand why no words can do the signature pinsas any justice.

🕒Monday – Sunday; 10:30 – 22:30

And although Burger King and KFC hardly need an introduction, here’s what we love from each one of the two eateries.

🍔BURGER KING

The Home of the Whopper has now also become the Home of the Plant-Based Whopper, and we just love this veggie alternative. The sustainably sourced soy-based patty is still flame grilled and topped with the crispiest lettuce leaves, the freshest tomatoes, and the crunchiest pickles, allowing you to savour Burger King’s signature flavours, while doing the environment a big favour. For added taste and crunch, spice things up with a side of golden-yellow curly fries, and if you’re still feeling peckish, top up your meal with a portion of ASMR-inducing plant-based nuggets.

🕒Sunday – Thursday; 10:00 – 22:00; Friday – Saturday; 10:00 – 23:00

🍗 KFC

KFC has become synonymous with its buckets, and just because we think that food tastes better when shared with friends and family, this is our go-to option. You can choose from four buckets: die-hard fans of the Colonel’s original recipe will surely go for a bucketful of 15 chicken pieces prepared using the famous 11-spice blend, while those who prefer variety can bite into the most popular menu items by ordering a Variety Bucket, a Family Feast Bucket, or by creating their very own bucket with a minimum of 12 pieces.

🕒Sunday – Thursday; 10:00 – 22:00; Friday – Saturday; 10:00 – 23:00

according to some people, you only need 1 day in each of the Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Lake District "to have seen it all". Which is why its minibus tour number 3 this year of the Yorkshire Dales for me on 16th October. Different routes and different things to see each tour.
