Teesside International Airport recently opened a cargo facility in Hangar 3.

Recently we have been seeing a number of aircraft arriving with imports of automotive parts from Hungary and exports to Sweden.

Cargo flights have been coming thick and fast this year with a good variety of aircraft seen, what I've noted:

Fairchild SA-227 Metro
Dassault Falcon 100
Dornier 228-212
Ce525 CitationJet
Pilatus PC12/47E
Ce560 Citation Encore +
Ce680A Citation Latitude
ATR 42-320F
ATR 72-202F

Star of the show so far has been:
Vulkan Air's An-26B

Cargo traffic is building nicely. I look forward to hearing of more substantial aircraft in the future.

The anticipated increase in cargo doesnt seem to have happened. Still waiting for mainstream freighers, just seem to be small general aviation types still.

Any news on positive developments?

Five cargo flights in today.
At one point this afternoon there will be 6 cargo aircraft at the airport, 3 of which will be An26's.

23 Tonnes of cargo this week.

FedEx to operate four cargo services per week starting in June. Capacity for 196,000lbs a week, that equates to over 4,600 tonnes a year. The flights will be operated by B737's.

Do you know where the movements are 'from' and 'to'??

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
