23rd May 2024: In just their second winter of operations from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have today unveiled an expanded Winter Sun programme for Winter 25/26, following strong demand for this summer and winter.

The leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator have put an expanded Winter Sun programme on sale for Winter 25/26 from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, with almost 180,000 seats on sale and a capacity increase of 4% when compared to Winter 24/25. This growth has been driven by additional capacity being added to popular winter sun destinations in shoulder periods.

Flights and holidays have gone on sale from Liverpool John Lennon Airport for Winter 25/26 to 11 sunshine destinations. The popular hotspots on sale include the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura), Spain (Alicante and Malaga), Majorca (Palma), Portugal (Faro and Madeira), Turkey (Antalya) and Cyprus (Paphos).

Today’s announcement means that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are the first airline and major tour operator to put Winter 25/26 on sale, and the early release of the programme comes in response to demand from local holidaymakers looking to lock some winter sun holidays into their diaries.

As well as providing the opportunity to book early, the programme represents over 25 departing weekly flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport during peak periods, giving holidaymakers in the region plenty of choice and flexibility when it comes to enjoying some winter sunshine in their favourite destinations in the Canary Islands, Spain, Majorca, Portugal, Turkey and Cyprus.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
