Following the update, several posts appear to be missing form the 'What are you listening to now? MKII' thread. I've not checked other threads yet.

How far back are we missing? Is it days, hours or minutes? Also, Brandin has asked for some stress testing to be done, so if anyone notices any lag, then please report it here. Thanks :)

Posts I made yesterday are still showing. Are you aware of the times the missing posts were made? I maybe posts after a certain time.

Posts I made up until maybe around 20:30 are still showing but the forum seemed quiet after that point.

All seems to be working quickly with no lag for me. I did see an error has occurred message but it wasn't clear what the error was. I haven't checked it in the ACP.

I've spoken with Brandin and he's said that there could be the potential to try and restore another backup but it would mean anything posted since the site came back up would be lost, so unless it's crucial information that can't be reposted or the backup is days old (the snapshot was taken one hour before the maintenance window opened so shouldn't be out of date), then a restoration is not recommended at this time.

I will keep an eye on the ACP for errors. If you see any errors reporting from CloudFlare, then please also report those too, thanks :)

The last post showing, is from Wolfheze on Tue 26 Dec at 22:54 -

Last night, Ray and I (the usual culprits) were posting video links from around 12 Midnight. I can't remember how many posts there were, but there were several. I was trying to post a link which wouldn't go through and then realised it was beyond the 02:00 am start of the update.

It's best to keep the newer posts. The 'What are you listening to now? MKII' is just a fun thread and any links can always be re-posted.

Just so you are aware, we currently have a couple of glitches causing some visual aspects of the forum to change. Maintenance has been made aware.

Good evening.

There is a server problem and it may lead to some downtime over the next several hours.

It is possible a system reset maybe required potentially leading to the loss of some data or recent posts. Hopefully this isn't the case.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that SD. I hadn't seen those posts. Are they still there as, for example, the LBA Jet 2 thread has gone from about 20 pages to 9? What the situation is on other forum pages I don't know but it seems to me as though things haven't been going smoothly. Not keen on the changes I have seen so far.

Which changes are you referring to @airforced

The Jet2 thread in the LBA forum was archived a few weeks ago and nobody noticed anything until you mentioned it today. The thread is still there for the time being and it has over 7k posts. We can't keep it going indefinitely.

With regards to my previous post I am not yet aware if the server problem is fixed.

Hi all,

I'd like to clarify something i.e. maintenance wise. Yesterday I attempted to perform some upgrades, unfortunately the server crashed as I tried to take a backup due the size of the forum being over 13GB mostly thanks to all of your amazing photos from over the years!

While I believe no data loss has occurred, it has lead to a problematic situation where if an upgrade is attempted and it goes wrong, there may be some data loss due to having to roll back to a previous state, which may not have the latest posts, etc. so all upgrades are on hold unless it is a security update as data currently cannot be fully backed up based directly before the maintenance periods.

I will be working with @Aviador and our server admin @Brandin to come up with a solution that works for everyone.

Apologies for any inconvenience that may have occurred yesterday.

I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?
