Lyon (LYS) Airport

I am going on a trip in just under 6 weeks and was asking if any forum member has been there recently.
I know about the usual websites, but some "actual on the ground" advice would be great.

Doing some more research on line, I have found out that I can catch a bus from the terminal to my hotel for 2 Euro. I can also catch a bus to the eastern side of the airport. That bus going in the opposite direction, will take me within 2km of Lyon Bron Airport. The weather forecast is good, so should be a good trip.

It certainly was a good trip, the weather helping.
I managed to find an excellent spot to take photos at a crash gate at the southern end of the Apron. I wasn't bothered by security when they did their rounds, very few other people seen - no spotters. I could take a bus from the hotel to within 200m of this spot.
I also managed to visit Lyon Bron, by bus and walking. It is mainly GA but there were a few Business Jets/Twins.
