Tortilla Rolls Into Glasgow

The UK’s most-loved burrito and taco joint Tortilla has opened its doors after rolling into Glasgow Airport.
Based in the main departure lounge, the 30-seat venue includes a grab-and-go takeaway service as well as a dine-in option from its famed fully customisable and authentic California-style Mexican menu. It is operated by SSP UK, a leading operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations and has helped create 19 new jobs at the airport.
Tortilla’s dishes are all made fresh to order, filled with fresh, quality ingredients such as their marinated proteins, hand-smashed guacamole and fresh salsas. Customers choose what goes inside their dish, from burritos, naked burrito bowls, salads and tacos to quesadillas and nachos – for a treat.

Glaswegians will already be familiar with Tortilla thanks to the brand’s local spot in the city’s Silverburn shopping centre.

Tortilla is the first Mexican-style eatery at the airport and is expected to be a huge hit with passengers as they head off on their travels.

Craig Norton, Head of Retail Development at AGS Airports, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with SSP on the launch of Tortilla. This new venue will further enhance our food and beverage options here at Glasgow Airport with a cuisine we know our customers are looking for during their travels. The Tortilla brand has continuously grown year after year and I am sure the colourful and bursting-with-flavour menu items will be a hit with our customers.”

Andy Naylor, CEO at Tortilla commented:
“We are excited to be opening our third airport location with SSP. Glaswegians will already know our brand from our location in the city centre, but this will allow them to enjoy some of our delicious Mexican food before jetting off to their next destination.”

Richard Attwood, Business Development Director of SSP UK & Ireland, said:
“We’re thrilled to be bringing Tortilla to a Scottish airport for the first time and extending our partnership with both Glasgow Airport and Tortilla. We aim to be the best part of the journey and this includes offering customers more choice every time they fly.”

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
