TUI commenced their own Southampton-Palma route today using a Boeing 737-800, the service is 1x week on a Tuesday and is primarily intended as a connecting flight for the Marella Cruise programme, its why other non-TUI bases such as EDI have PMI flights today.
Aircraft was operated using a Cardiff based aircraft and marks the first regular Boeing service from the airport, it will be very interesting to see how AGS is able to grow this relationship given the challenging operations at SOU for most operators, never mind a 737.
Fun fact: TUI becomes the 5th carrier to serve all three AGS owned airports (Aer Lingus, easyJet, KLM and Loganair are the others)
