Ground Operations Aircraft marshalling - illuminated wand colours

Although this is one of many ramp activities I undertook over the years, something I never learned was whether there were any rules or standards regarding the colour of illuminated wands, whether local or international. Daytime bats and wands were almost always bright orange but I've seen night wands at LBA in orange, yellow, red and pink. Are these the accepted colours or is anything allowed ? Brown and black were never popular!
